~A weathered and scarred, but clean and well groomed Samurai getting close to his retirement age leaves a letter and gift for the Bat Champion. His armour is plain, but under it he has the faded colours of the Dragon. He is calm, and very polite to the servants.~
I would leave a gift for your Master. Word of the tragedy and outrage in Toshi Ranbo have reached even my distant ears. My heart is stirred with sympathy and righteous indignation at these events. I wish to share the former with your Lord.
~The gift is fine Tea from Crab Lands, rumoured to have medicinal properties. Not enough to insult the physicians caring for the Champion, but enough to show awareness of his plight.~
~The Letter reads:
Esteemed Lord of the Komori,
I must beg your indulgence, as I am a Warrior, and am not given to the finest use of poetic words.
It is with growing horror that I see great and wise figures such as yourself targetted by the vile machinations which, as you warned my kin, conspire to set the Empire at it's own throat. That this attack happens so quick upon your messengers conveyance of your most sagacious observations regarding the Hidden Hands at work, serves to punctuate and give context to this dire warning. I fear there are already many in powerful places who are either complacent with these hands, or refuse to acknowledge them. Yet there are still some, in places great and small, who have seen the wisdom Komori-Dono has, and are still searching for the true threat. When it reveals itself fully, we will be ready.
Thank you for sharing your insight with my Clan. When the time comes, may it be repaid with steel against those who have struck against you.
