Asoka was in her shinobi garb. With the group now at the ruins of the old temple, and with the illusion in place for Kiso-sama to explore in search for their prize, it was Asoka's job to keep the site secure. She clung to the shadows like a velvet curtain of darkness that enveloped her lovingly. Within her home in the shadows, she crept like a panther, silent and deadly. Any who would attempt to kill their group would pay a dear price.
She watched as the perimeter of the temple grounds was secured by Kyo-san, Kotaro-san and Hiro-sama. Kiso-sama had already entered the complex. Whatever trials awaited within would have to be bested by the shugenja master himself. Asoka had no doubt anything within could not be defeated by mere physical means. This was something that Asoka lacked, so she found it best to stick to doing what she did.
So far, nothing was out of sorts. Though the ruins of the former Imperial capital was fraught with all manner of peril, none was imminent for the moment. That was good. The sooner they retrieved their prize the better. Asoka wanted to be away from here as soon as possible.
Far beneath the complex, where Kiso-sama had gone, Asoka thought she heard a faint, but shrill keening. It was as if something fell and ethereal was waking up, in response to an intruder...
