Tadaka shakes his head. "I do not think we are aimed in the wrong direction. If the attack to the west is but a feignt in the end, than I'm not sure much would help us, for the force in Badger lands is quite large; to think of a larger force somewhere is almost unthinkable. But as far as me thinking differently, you are right; it is no so much that we are aimed in the wrong direction though, for our efforts in the west are certainly needed. I merely share a curiousity with certain others as to why the Yobanjin are banding together for this attack. What ever the cause is, I do not think the cause itself posses a threat in the same direct way that the armies on our borders do, at least not immediately."
He pauses and drinks some tea to wet his throat, continuing, "If there is some mastermind behind this, they must be taken care of so they do not repeat this attack or possibly even gatheranother army even as we are taking care of this one. The other possiblity I fear, if there is not some person binding these tribes together, is that they are fleeing from something they consider more frightening than our armies. I hestitate to say what such a thing could be, but the Unicorn and Scorpion have returned with tales of large Gaijin civilizations far to the north, so there is always that possiblity..."
Tadaka pauses, as if musing, rubbing his bare chin. He frowns, "Come to think of it... either way I may be looking the wrong way; if it is some powerful charismatic individual, I do not think I will find that answer in any of our libraries. And if it is something they flee from, I think neither of our Clans would be the best resource to ask, rather..." He sits up tall and bows low to the table, "You will have to forgive me for the musings of this entire discussion, but it seems you have been a great help to me Buretto-san. I will cancel any request for help in the libraries, so you may let your Champion know that hehas the full armies of the Phoenix at his disposal. I will go seek the infortmation where I should have been looking for it all along rather than worrying about Yobanjin Mura. The Lion shall be the first to know of anything my assistants and I discover Buretto-san, so do not worry about that."
He stands fully now, "Did you have any other questions or concerns Buretto-san? Otherwise I fear I have been chasing a false path for too long already."
