Ooc: I've gotten roasted for less, lol. I will give you the opportunity to save face. as far as the clan champions go, those who hold the top glory in their clan are champions, but in some cases, like mine, there are elections.

OOC: Hrm... now, see, I'm pretty sure I'd have either 50 Scorpy challenges from people with high Iajutsu skills or just have to Seppuku if I walked up to the Scorpion champion and started arguing with him and insinuating things about his clan. In addition, this whole RP angle is something I didn't know existed when making this character. I think I may just seppuku this one and decide what combination of fun there and fun here will be the most fun. I ain't real attached to this guy anyway; until now, he's just been a set of stats on a Facebook game.

While i agree on many points, i must rebuff the writer when i state that the Lion had good cause to invade Kyuden Tonbo and to state otherwise is an insult to our ancestor's honor. Now that our revenge for a slight committed against us hundreds of years ago has been exacted, i think it is fine for all of rokugan to pour in their resources for the rebuilding of their clan head quarters, but to state that the Tonbo didn't ask for this with their very existence is an insult to my clan. When what are perceived to be honorable samurai make a pact it is expected that such a pact is upheld to the end. The destruction of Kyuden Tonbo should highlight this most important aspect of bushido. Now that our honor has been cleansed, Kyuden Tonbo is no longer our concern. They got exactly what they deserved bayushi-sama My apologize for this tardy reply, but I must also clarify some points. The razing of Kyuden Tonbo was more than repayment for a insult already resolved. To our histories Tonbo Kuyuden and Akodo Yokutsu settled this score all those years ago. The incident of stray arrow was unfortunate, and that samurai should rightfully pay with his life. Had he had the chance to ask for seppuku it would’ve been granted. But to turn bloodlust of standing army on the un-nerve of an archer and destroy their livelihood, I leave that to the court to judge. As the Ikomas stroke their brushes and immortalize the victory of a lion over a dragonfly, we rebuild. We are ever thankful to the dragon for their protection, and to al clans for their aid. We pray to the kami that no other clans arrows may falter and pick the blood-thirsty lion in wait. The untactful response of receiving what we deserved is unfortunate. We seek now no further rivalry with lion, and we will seek no vengeance centuries from now. We seek only to rebuild.

OOC : based on the usual storyline, you shouldn't have any clue about the Spider being linked to the Shadowlands. As far as the Empire know, the Spider are a bunch of Ronin calling themselves the Spider clan and nothing more, so you can't really say things like "the Spider have tried to invade the Empire for centuries throwing Oni and other things at the wall", as there is no reason for you to know that. Furthermore, that would prevent any player from roleplaying an openly Spider character, which should be avoided in my opinion.

Ooc: when this was written there was confusion still about the setting. I wrote this under the assumption that we were set in CE time and the spider were a well known entity with ties to the shadowlands as evidenced by Daigotsy having stated that if confirmed the Spider would shun the shadowlands.
If I had known at the time of writing I obviously would have left out many things.

OOC : ok, makes more sense then ^^ Though at this point in the storyline, most still don't know about the Spider real nature.
