I am Bayushi Trevron. Longtime L5R player from Florida. Me and my friends play tabletop, currently I'm running a Thousand Years of Darkness campaign. We're also CCG players. If you see the Manatee Clan at a tourney or Kotei, that's us. Never played a FB game before ever but I'm addicted to this one, only cause it's L5R

Seppun Yamaedo, L5RRPG player since 1st ed. Used to be attached to Team Traveling Ronin in the CCG. Still confused about everyone's fear of him as Otomo Taneji in WC 2009-2010. Right now, Lion clan as Akodo Jafuri. Have a happy.

3 pages of people, and I don't appear to know anyone. Wow. <_<
Wait... Taneji from WC:KG? Oh my Lord of Death... no more *steeples fingers* please! Aaaaargh!
Anyway, Yann here, from France. Crazy Unicorn player, **LOYAL**, enjoys practicing his CCG Fu at koteis, used to be Shinjo Ki-Chang in Winter Court '09.

Hey everyone, I'm Edwin and my character is Iuchi Ryuusei.
I'm from the Netherlands, currently on break after a year of studying communication and media design. As far as L5R goes, I've played the CCG for a couple of years during the Diamond era and played the RPG on and off for nearly five years (and itching to play again!). My nickname is from one of my first characters, meaning "shooting star" in Japanese.

Hello! I'm Jim; I have played the RPG and the CCG both for a couple of years now and am having a lot of fun with it. I play Mirumoto Kissaki, a returned spirit, in the living campaign: Heroes of Rokugan: Spirit of Busido, which is in it's 11th year and 3rd campaign. It is a whole lot of fun, and I would suggest that anyone interested in the PRG give it a whirl. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Hi everyone !
Name's Miguel Levasseur and I'm from Quebec City, Canada. I got hooked by the L5R setting while playing a huge campaing with friends that last for about 4 years before we disband. I didn't know about the CCG at that time, I was more of the roleplaying school and I loved the richness and complexity of the interactions in Rokugan compared to other games. Always had a crush with the idea that it can be easier to die for a mispoken word than a fierce fight !
My former L5R storyteller gave me the hint about Emerald Empire and a spark instantly fused. I am just delighted to find a community so devoted to this game I enjoyed that much, so thanks to you all for being there and keeping this place lively ! On the linguistic side, I am French-speaking by nature, with a quite functionnal English.
You will know me in-game as Agasha Miga, a Phoenix shugenja more enclined to hunt tainted creatures around Rokugan than studying in the towers of his homeland. Jack of all trades, he relies on his vast knowledge and versatile talents to get the best from most situations. For sure he will never be acclaimed as a skilled champion (OOC: I just don't get it how some people can manage 200+ skill rolls!) but I hope his sheer tenacity, along with some "earth wisdom" and compassion, will bring honor to his family and clan.

I'm Alison, Jay's RL other half and co-developer of Emerald Empire. In a nutshell, I'm content, he is code. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I got into the L5R RPG one Origins way back in the mid 90s. I was a hard core VtM LARPer sharing a room with a friend who was into anything Japanese. After LARPing until the wee hours of the night, I was woken up at some ungodly hour like 8 AM by said friend, saying he'd gotten us spots in a 9AM demo for some asian game he'd heard about. Muttering profanity and mainlining coffee, I showed up at the demo and surprised myself by enjoying it. What got me hooked was the court intrigue and the ability to play a character whose sole focus was not combat. I tried several times to get a long term first ed. game going, missed second ed. entirely and rediscovered third ed. when some different friends introduced Jay and I to the HoR2 living campaign(in which I played a Seppun Hidden Guard Shugenja and a Tamori Yamabushi). I am currently playing an Asahina shugenja, lovingly dubbed the "Doji Disney Princess" in the HoR3 living campaign. (I took Touch of Chikushudo as a joke, since all Disney Princesses have animals at their beck and call and am dumbfounded at how useful its been to date!) I keep wanting to get into the card game (we have binders and binders of celestial edition cards and we won't talk about the other editions!) If there are CCG groups within a couple of hours of ATL with patience for teaching a new player the ropes of the game, PM me. please! I also played the previous L5R FB game, Duels of Honor briefly, but was turned off by the focus on koku and buying and selling of dynasty. Emerald Empire is not V2 of Duels of Honor. The only similarity is that both games were/are set in AEG's L5R world. Emerald Empire is a completely different game by different developers using a different game engine and is focused on storytelling. Earlier this year a friend wanted to introduce me to a friend of hers that was trying to get a facebook game going. I dragged Jay along. After a lunch meeting, it was clear that the gentleman we met wanted to be the next Zynga, which was not our thing. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) But Jay kept thinking about writing a FB game for the fun of it and to teach himself PHP. So we brainstormed on roadtrips and he started coding... slowly. Early on, he was kvetching that he was out of ideas for actions. I made the mistake of rattling off 5-6 ideas off the top of my head. Ever since then, I've pretty much been in charge of content. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I'm pretty stunned at how quickly Emerald Empire took off and how popular it is, but hope folks are enjoying our "home game for 2000 people" because Jay and I are having a lot of fun running it!

I'm Emily and I'm a mommy. My RL husband is Doji Yoshi and I play Utaku Mo-Li in EE. In college I studied philosophy, French, Japanese and linguistics. A couple years ago, a friend introduced my WoD/DnD group to a CCG that we'd never heard of before. I started playing Crane and it stuck for a while, but now I'm finding myself to like Ponies more. I haven't really ever played tabletop L5R, but I'd really like to. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Since it's come up, I was Doji Hariya in WCII (KG) so, for what that's worth... Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!

I'm David. Roleplaying is pretty much my life, the only hobby I maintain (other than online browser-based gaming). I started L5R in 1st edition, and played all the other versions (though I intentionally totally skipped the Oriental Adventures d20 version of the game). As I've stated, I met Allison and Jay through me buying a 32nd level Jay on v1 for the obscenely low price of about 80,000 koku (which introduced me to the darker side of Allison, the side with the flavorful profanity ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ... who was like level 10 and obviously couldn't afford her man back). Since I knew she could never afford to keep her man at a decent price, and since I do always try to play a nice guy, I arranged for Jays entrance to my favorite Crane player since he wanted to be Crane and I was in the Phoenix Clan at the time (we all became Q Dynasty later on, where I became the Jade Champion of the Q Dynasty). Hopefully Allison doesn't still hate me, and I personally think I helped Jay become the awesome player he was, with his 500 Dynasty that weren't all just-friends. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I also led original the v2 version of the game construction with 2 other players. However, the engine we were building on killed itself, and us with it. While I always imagined I'd write this version, I'm not upset that someone beat me to it, I obviously lacked the initiative needed for it (though I'm always willing to help, as a professional PHP/JS/Sql coder, though I've yet to learn Ajax...). Anyhows, I'm European, hence my posting times, I live in the Netherlands with my wife and son, and am an IT Manager, focusing on programming, as a profession.

My Name is MOTO KAZEHITO Greetings fellow Samurai and Warriors Extraordinaire from the Empire. lineage harks back to ages ago ... time of L5R CCG, RPG, CLAN WAR, and many other games. Once a member of the Demo Team here in Hawaii. I have missed this days.
I spent 3 years on the wall with the Crab and learned of what real duty is. I spent 3 years with the Crane learning dueling, both of words and of steel. I spent my last 3 years as an emissary to the Mantis, where learned how to know fear and make your strength. Still has girt and determination of some one driven beyond this world.
Magistrate of the Jade Fist, Defender of the Empire!

My RL name is Dave and I'm the other half of Utaku Mo-Li. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I've played the CCG since late 2002. I started with Dragon and Shadowlands, but later found that the story and game functions of Crane were more to my liking. I've been on the Crane forums since I started dabbling in Crane (also around late 2002) as Doji Yoshi. Taking the family name of Doji for the overall prowess in all areas that Crane are good at, and Yoshi for Kakita Yoshi, master courtier, and overall friend to most. I've also been interested in the RPG since late 2003 but never found the time or people to participate with. I'm currently very disappointed with the Crane cards in the CCG at the moment (CE has not been very kind) so I've played many other clans in CE, and it's helped me to see the game from different perspectives and perhaps enjoy the game a bit more. I'm enjoying EE, but I only wish we had more story content. (I really enjoyed the Part 1-5 stories, but since I played through most of them rather quickly, I'm missing that aspect of the game). I actually own 1st Edition, all the major clan "Way of" books, 2nd Edition Gamemasters Guide, 3rd Ed, and now 4th Ed books. I also have the Crane "Secrets of" and some other books on the side (Way of Minor clans, and the Merchants Guide to Rokugan). ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
