This RP takes place after Searching for the Truth in Bedien Pass. It is a closed RP meant for Thrakhath, Tenshi, Daisuke, and Shoju. If you find a plausible reason why you would be in our vacinity, please feel free to PM me.
The Sinister woman had always held the upper hand over the Khadi that she had created. The Dark Lady had asked her to use the ritual to save one that was important to her cause. Apparently the ritual hadn't worked the way it was supposed to.
Yes, it had saved the Samurai from death. There had been so much blood on the floor of the shrine already, she was unsure if she could save him. She had bound him, and she thought that he had become a true khadi. It seemed however, that she had merely bound his spirit to the heart, and the spirit took residence in the body. The rituals failings were also its most magnificent outcome. A khadi bound to the heart? When the body was destroyed, The khadi wasn't bound to a shattered body? This was close to the same results that had been seen with another. Iuchiban was his name, and his legacy was enormous.
The shock this one had suffered when losing his body was great, and it caused a significant amount of stress and pain on the Spirit. His anger and rage at the torment he suffered was manifested upon her mind. She was once the master in this situation, but his transformation had turned the tables upon her. She had not been prepared for how strong he had become. The Dark Lady and her husband were happy with the progress he had made, and hadn't sought to control him through the heart in a very long time. This had strengthened his resolve, and made him a willing servant to their cause. It has also given him the upper hand over this gaijin woman.
Quickly in the night they had realized several things. The Spirit was bound now to the heart. It couldn't move outside of but a short distance from the heart, as it was all that anchored it to this world. The spirit was unlike other spirits in the shadowlands. It could not take a corporeal form at this point, which meant that physical interaction with anything was, at least for the moment, out of the question. This also meant that the spirit didn't speak audibly. It entered your mind, and showed you what it wanted you to know. resistance, was met with unspeakable pain. It seemed, the spirit could still assault you through your mind.
They had traveled through the City of the Lost undisturbed. They arrived at the main gate to the city, and he pressed her East. Towards his home. a place she had never given much thought for.
Shoju had called to Thrakhath, the Hand of Daigotsu, hoping to find the samurai to the North still. He had hopes of Thrakhath being able to bring him his effects from the battlefield if possible. Whatever new form he chose to take, he would wish to have certain things.
The Sinister woman and The Spirit began the treck to Shiro Saisei. The Spirit hoped to find Daisuke back in the compound. He would need a powerful Tsukai to help this woman bind him to a body again. And of course, they would need a body. Daisuke would help on both fronts. While the boy was young, and at times impulsive, there was no denying his power. He also hoped that Daisuke would have been arrogant enough to stow bodies away for further research.
The sun hung low in the sky signalling mid morning when the woman and the Spirit reached the gates of Saisei. It was truly magnificent. The Spirit made a note to find a way to honor Iromasu for his hard work and diligence he had shown to his home.

Tenshi was hardly one to say or do much of anything politely, but she was at the door with a cloth draped over her missing arm as she bowed and showed them where Shoju's body lay.
"Little one, we have a visitor."
She grunted and left the rest to these kami twisting sorts. It was hardly her business as she simply went out to start training her other arm for sword work. She doubted she would be needed for such insane experimentation.

Tenshi was right, he had o be strong... and Shoju's body wouldn't examine itself. He was dead so there was no reason not to do some research on how he became what he was. He ignored her, not giving a care about what she wanted. When she left he called for some help to carry the body to his room.
Then she came back, leading another women to where he was.
- Oh, a visitor? I welcome you, miss, to Shiro Saisei. I'm sorry but as you can see the master of this fortress is currently... unavailable.[/i] He said joyfully (As he loved to play the role of a nice child. It was hilarious when some of the tainted bushi got confused) and pointed at the body - I'll look for a way to bring him back, if there is one, but right now I could probably only arrange a room for you to wait...
Unless of course it wasn't him that you wanted to speak with. Then I would be glad to find the person you are looking for [/i]
There was something wrong with her... Daisuke didn't know what but she was weird. He could also sense a presence near her but he didn't know what it was. His training stopped spirits from possessing him if he didn't want it but it was a little hard to speak to them without a proper ritual.

The Woman, who used to be described as Sinister looked fragile, shaken, and terrified. "Your master is among us, young Tsukai." She spoke the words as if fearing repurcussions. She turned to the Battle Maiden. "t... t... Tenshi-sama. He wishes to thank you for your bravery in battle, and for standing your ground in face of insurmountable odds for a man you had known less than a day... " Her eyes closed tightly she looked like she was trying to keep her sanity. "If you wish for your arm to be restored, he will arrange for his best students to being the process, or he will find another arm suitable for you."
The woman looked back at Daisuke. "That body is worthless. His spirit cannot return to the broken vessel. He will require a new vessel. Prepare that body, and have it delivered to Scorpion Lands as a gift to The Master of Secrets." The woman closed her eyes again, She looked to be in pain as she listened. "Has Thrakhath arrived yet?"

"Thrakhath-sama, you miserable wretch," Thrakhath growled angrily as he entered the room. He still wore his armor and traveling clothes, a scimitar sheathed at his side and wearing what appeared to be a no-dachi on his back. The woman turned to face him and opened her mouth to speak, but Thrakhath held up a hand to silence her as he took in the room and its occupants, particularly its dead occupants. Then he fixed a glare on the woman, who shrank away in fear. "I know that son of a cur is still alive," he said. "You tell that pathetic excuse for a bloodspeaker that the next time he sends a kansen to invade my mind I will personally have him flayed," he said in an icy tone, though he did not raise his voice. "I am not one of his servants."
The woman did not respond verbally, but continued to simply stand there looking frightened. Thrakhath glared at her for a moment more. "Well?" he said finally.

With much irritation the battle maiden continued working with an arm she wasn't used to. Forcing it to learn and strengthen as her balance was off. She stabbed the training blade into the heart of the dummy as she'd stop to hopefully get herself restored. Her eyes fell on this new individual who she'd not met, and cared less for.
It was interesting to watch the woman as she spoke and moved, acting as though she had an envenomed blade at her back. Tenshi couldn't quite perceive what was going on, but that hardly mattered to her as long as she got what she needed. And being one armed was hardly helpful to acting as a Taisa to Shoju.
For now she remained silent looking between them all, and wondering which of the skittish little students in Saisei could perform what should be a simple reconstruction. Needless to say, the skill in which it was severed was potent enough to keep most of the tissues in tact.

"My apologies for the sleight Thrakhath-sama.[/i]" The woman cowered. She wasn't sure who to be more afraid of, the Angry Bushi in front of her, or the spirit that burned her mind. The answer came quickly enough...
The Spirit's rage coursed, and the woman fell to her knees. "The Master says had he another way to contact you, he would have." She was sobbing now. "After the Master of Secrets struck him down, the only thing holding him in this world is his heart. My ritual was not a success in the way that it was originally deemed." Shoju lifted her head towards Thrakhath. "He is in this room with you now, and he is eternally grateful that you have brought him the No-Daichi."
"He asks one last service of you Thrakhath-sama." The Woman bowed her head, and spoke quietly. "He requests that you send word to the Our Lord. The Scorpion have declared war on the Spider, and Shoju wishes to see to it that war is what they get. He wants it to be a message to all that the Spider will be seen as equals, and those who oppose us will be dealt with swiftly. " The Woman remained on her knees on the floor her face almost touching the floor as she bowed.

Quickly a student arrived in the room, and bowed low to Tenshi. "I had a vision that i was to help you Tenshi-sama." The Tsukai looked to be a Crane in a previous time, before his life brought him to Saisei.
"Please, follow me, and we will make you whole again." The student turned and began leading her away.

A mild grunt to the student was all he would get for now. Tenshi silently wondered how these orders by vision would have an effect, as in most things she'd been alone for so long the idea of someone always having a presence was somewhat... comforting in a strange way.
She brought her arm and she would give it to the student, laying where she needed to and removing the cloth from the rather obvious missing limb. "Don't be gentle, just get it done.." Her eyes fixed on the ceiling above her as she didn't bother to stare down the student and just let them work. She wouldn't even pretend to know what was going on, but it was a rare treat to be restored after a battle at least. To have suffered for so long and then to be given this chance again. She seemed to feel she owed Shoju more and more in her mind.

The Student bowed low, took the limb, and placed it where it should have gone. He then took out a small blade and sliced his hand deeply. He let out a slight whimper in the process, in other parts of the Empire, that would have been a sleight of honor. Here in Saisei, it was a sign of a job well done. As the blood flowed from his hand, onto the Limb and Stump, the Skin began to stitch itself back together, and after a moment, the Limb was whole again. Strong, no scars, It was as if it had never been severed. The Student fell to the floor. Unconcious or Dead, Who knew?

Tenshi glanced over hearing the sound of the body going limp as she stretched her arm to inspect it. "Perfect.." She'd glance down at the poor soul who'd possibly slit his last bit of blood. With a rumbling sigh she felt a bit obligated to vaguely tend to the poor student as she'd take him up in her arms and carry him to one of the benches to at least rest if he was meant to recover.
"Thanks.." Laying him down for now, she would find her own way back to Thrakhath, Daisuke, and the others. Perhaps now she might be of mild use now. She'd stay to the edge of the room, not wishing to disturb their actions for now as she simply folded her arms and leaned against the dark wall. Tenshi would watch people when she wasn't needed, but their tone indicated something about Shoju-sama, and this was of great interest to her.

Thrakhath reached back and drew the massive sword from the sheath at his back. He tossed it clattering to the floor by the woman's head as she groveled. "I suppose I can't flay him if he's nothing more than a ghost; his apology is accepted," he said, "As for the Scorpion, I will inform Lord Daigotsu of their threat. We may not be able to wage war on them directly, but I'm sure a more discreet method of taking the fight to our enemy can be arranged."
Thrakhath turned his eyes upward and swept the room with his gaze. "Shoju," he said, speaking to the room in general but clearly addressing the spirit directly. "I assume you have a plan to remedy your current situation?" He regarded the battle maiden curiously as she entered the room, but a simple nod was all he gave to indicate he'd noticed her.

- Well... it would seem that this body is indeed useless. But there are so many more ways for binding a spirit. You could use the bodies of others, you could bind the soul to an item... there are many possibilities. Daisuke answered to Thrakhath
- You must be the famous Thrakhath, mister. A pleasure to meet you. [/i] He said - As for the body I will prepare for it to be sent to Senshi

The woman leaned back so that her words could be heard. "The Master is going to bind his heart with Saisei. To do that, he will need a Scroll. One that the Scorpion are said to hold. It is the Second Black Scroll that binds the Powers of Fu Leng." She looked up at Thrakhath. "His plan in the interim is to find a new host. But he has stipulations on the body he will inhabit.
