Mayumi waited outside the library. She had inquired from the servants about Kenpachi's location after being informed he had woken. She did not wish to disturb him while he read. She'd take her position by his left hand side when he was done. The corridors were quiet today. Many Dragon castles and palaces were quite quiet but it wasn't the norm for the Kitsuki lands. Still, it was pleasant. Perhaps it was more usual for this wing of the Castle? Many did not visit this particular library as it mostly contained recent writings and journals rather than any of the old lore or tombs that interested the more scholarly samurai.
Mayumi head footsteps approaching and adjusted her stance. Luckily she was soon able to relax - it was merely Toshyoka. The two bowed before Toshyoka double checked to make sure Kenpachi was inside the library. She then wandered into the library chamber herself. It was blissfully quiet. The librarian responsible for the chamber must be away, perhaps moving items in a store. She was glad to see that Kenpachi had consumed something for breakfast.
Walking over to Kenpachi, Toshyoka whispered cheerfully "good morning. I hope you are well" before bowing. She spied the journal cover and rummaged around in her thoughts. She'd been here a handful of times before. She just about recalled the author, a now quite old magistrate who had patrolled the mountains. "You are quite keen on this, aren't you?" She stated, putting a finger to her chin in concern "I think the data inside would be a little out of date but still useful. Are you that keen to be active here or merely interested in the subject matter Toku Kenpachi-sama?"
