Sojiro-san, right now we have another problem. Scorpion clan is required to pay visit to the Emperor and explain the attempt of murder over the Imperial Ambassador. Making them able to pass without the cooperation of Lion in being hard. Unfortunately, Lion clan chose a Matsu general to be ambassador to us. I wonder what happens with their diplomats. Are all dead? Maybe when finally they come Lion must pay the price of their brashness I heard news that Lady Haruka was hurt by one of her own kin in the battlefield... Probably because some of them wish her to remain neutral, as her clan claim to be. Last time we met she wasn't in her full health... I wonder what she was trying to do here... I am afraid she is in a great trouble by now... It's impossible to say what to think about Scorpion right now, but while Fitsu sama take care of the great flow of battle, I am here dealing with these other tasks, as a bridge to the needs of our intelligence and armies. That's why I asked you to aid in the mission to rescue Kenna and the others. About the big battle, I have total confidence in Fitsu-sama ability to lead our resources.
Mitsouko observed the dark sky for a moment. It's only the beginning my dear Sojiro-san. Just the beginning... Then she returned to a more pratical stance, nodding to him:
You are allowed to leave. I trust I will have a good report about this mission later.
Edited: Some of my typos. Just some.

Sojiro bowed a soldier's bow to Mitsouko - the first time she had seen that from him.
"You have my word that Both Kenna-San and Hitoshi-san will return safely to Toshi Ranbo, Mitsouko-sama. I will depart immediately to catch up to Hitoshi-san."
He smiled at his family Daimyo, blue and green eyes twinkling like the starts that the storm clouds were hiding.
"And when I return, we'll all join Fitsu-sama on the battlefield and make the Lion clan regret ever having seen Toshi Ranbo."
With that, Sojiro turned on his heel, eyes still twinkling, and made his way out of Toshi Ranbo.

The rain had long stopped lingering, but the wet stench of the city remains, Yuuto’s geta clopping a beat to the baritone seepage of rain water from rooftops and city streets. Early morning was beginning to present itself as the sun nudged hangovers and foul mouths to attention, those awake clumsily drifting among the space between warehouses and the wharfs they lined. The atmosphere shivered Yuuto, as the night’s events and results gave him pause to consider who he truly was; his woolen coat unable to keep out the morning cold or hide him from the world around.
The smoke billowing from cooking and cleaning fires from Yuuto’s cloistered sanctuary adjacent the city walls gives comfort, as a passive glance towards the ramparts and the trickling of wounded from the night’s skirmishes bring concern.
Two girls, perhaps sisters or just neighbors, sheepishly carry water to the soldiers fighting above, the first standing above her younger sister in years and stature, as she ushers her ladle ceremoniously into the water before soothing the throats of those she gives care. Her bleached hair flutters serenely in the morning air, her presence bringing an ease to the soldier’s hearts and minds as her cool words confidently instruct her compatriot, “Junko-san, quickly with your work!”
The water sloshes around in the younger girl’s hands, too big a task for someone of her tenure, making a mess of her duller kimono and dusky hair. Her teeth grit as she cries, “I’m TRYING Masara-sama!,” yet her performance remains lacking. The calls of her elder do nothing but antagonize, her footing soon finding fault on slippery rock; stones scraping and tattering as she tumbles upon apathetic masonry -- adding only befuddlement to her perceived misfortunes. She can hear nothing but jeers and taunts as wet ears steam, the sensations of living under a more perfect sibling swelling in her spirit, cheeks flaring red and nose crinkling in unfettered rage, “MARSARA MARSARA MARSARA!”
Like a spark that ignites more fiery destruction, her older sister knees buckle in surprise at her charge, bucket and ladle washing them all from grizzled soldier to pretty girl! As the mass of arms and legs constrict and arrange themselves in their tussle, a look of annoyance finds itself on Masara’ now dripping mane, her heart quickly finding compassion at she hugs her sibling’s growl, “perhaps tomorrow we will find you something better to do!,” the crowd bursting into chuckles and enjoying a good laugh before faint horns of battle find them back to their fates.
Yuuto’s glimpse of the scene ends, as he slips into the alluring smells of herb, incense, and sterile hands, his mind on the struggles to be found there with his own sisters and siblings. Itch remains as he removes concealing wool, and kami pick away at masking facial hair. Hands tremble as the smells of porridge drift to his attention, his stomach reminding him he had not eaten in days. Miga’s head dips and bobs as sleep takes her away; her fragile grip on stirring ladle loosening.
Yuuto begins the tedious process of washing the stench of flirtatious floozy and cheap drink from his presence, before guiding his apprentice to proper bedding, taking upon her uncompleted task. Bowls are filled, and the grimacing soldiers, wounded by war, are tended to one by one. At last his work finds him in front of his proud Lioness, a twinge of her black hair moving as she quietly purrs in her slumber. Great care is taken to present tea and warm meal before her, as he awaits patiently for his slight nudges to coerce his guest to wake, “Ayumi-sama, I hope you have had a good rest.”

Ayumi woke up quickly but stayed with her eyes closed. She needed a few moments for herself, before dealing with what the day would bring. First thing: body check. No pain, that’s good. Slight dull in the abdomen, but that’s normal. Okay, next. Gotta check moving. She tensed her muscles partially. First back, than thorax and stomach and in the end limbs, one at a time. Her movements looked like stretching, though they were small and somehow careful. The results were quite satisfactory. ‘kay that’s all she could do for now.
She opened her eyes and sat slowly. She smiled faintly. Yes Yuuto-san, thanks to your medicine. It’s very effective. It takes a bit for it to start working, but it’s effect is worth waiting. She looked at shugenja examining his posture and face. It wasn’t difficult to guess that he was tired. Too much work, too much responsibility, too little help. Maybe you should try it yourself, Yuuto-san. Even shugenja sometimes need to rest.
And… Ayumi is fine.

OCC: I'd post here, but it seemed to be more fit to Nocturnal Whispers. Anyway, events should cross soon. While Yuuto and Ayumi has their moments by the morning, their presence will kind of be required in the other thread by this very night. Or at least, Horuma's... feel free to PM if you have doubts. Let's set you free, girl! ;D

It is early in the morning when a tiny blue tsuru flies towards the Kakita daimyou. As soon as it reaches her hands the paper unfolds and a message fades in becoming readble only to the recipient:
"Honorable Kakita-sama; I received a message requesting me to go back to Toshi Ranbo, war has being well feed with soldiers and souls and had grown since I left. I'm leaving Phoenix lands and shall soon cross Permission City surroundings, I know I can find the support of the honorable Emerald Champion Armies there, but I'm unaware of the situation around Toshi Ranbo. Please, know that we hope to be arriving from the north anytime tonight.
Asahina Yukihime"
The message is short and not the most informative one, but it already takes the whole paper. Once read the origami tsangusuri dissolves into a incense like mist and quickly disappear.
