There are some discrepancies in the clans if the forum board date is the same as the date in the FB game. How are they going to be resolved?
The date by imperial decree: 1164
Bat clan--not a clan until 1165
Oriole clan--not a clan until 1167
Fox clan--still an independent minor clan until 1169

the point of divergence from actual canon is when Naseru takes the name Hantei XL. So, as far as the story is and events, its as the creators Jay and Alison want it to be. After that point it can be whatever they want. Such as minor clans' status. Yes the year is 1164.
