If you want to comment or add info, please do it HERE.
When I write "you" I mean "your character". When I write "player"; I mean "you". It would spare a lot of place.
MISSION
You act in game by performing Missions in "Actions" section. Most Missions have skill requirements and you must have effective skill equal or exceeding mission requirements; the more your effective skill exceeds minimal value you have higher chances of success; Missions without skill requirements have fixed chance of success. Some Missions require from you having (or not having) certain items in your inventory (and you often cannot see these Missions without having /or having if they forbid it/ required item in your inventory). Some Missions require from you belonging to certain Clan. Some Missions require value of Glory, Honor or Taint under or above certain value. Skill, Item and Clan requirements are listed in "Required" column. To perform a Mission you need to have number of current fate and koku equal or exceeding number of fate and koku required to perform certain Mission. Some Missions consume items during performing process and you must have them in your inventory to perform a Mission (when you perform mission you lost items consumed by mission even when you are unsuccessful). [WARNING: If you equip your only item that is consumed you cannot perform a mission - game cannot unequip your item automatically.] Fate and Koku value and consumed Items are listed in "Costs" column. If you lack something from "Required" or "Costs" column mission cannot be performed, you lost nothing and appropriate communicate is showed. If you perform mission successfully you are rewarded with everything listed in "Rewards" column (it could be Experience /exp/, Glory, Honor, Infamy and/or Taint), with a Random Drop and (when reaching Mastery Level) with Token and Mastery Drop. Some missions (marked "Prologue" or "Chapter") are part of Stories. Some missions are part of Random Encounters. Some missions are Competitions. Some missions are Voting. Some missions have Lockout Time.

In "Interact" section all characters visiting same location as you are listed. You can Interact with other characters only in words, you cannot fight or transfer items (which means you cannot be robbed or killed during interaction). We suggest to uncheck the checkbox if you don't want to mess your Facebook Wall. When you post something it is visible for everyone on the list for some time, even if you leave this location (so you can back later and look how discussion goes).
LOCKOUT TIME
Time that must pass between attempts on performing certain mission.
TRAVEL
You start the game in your Home Location depending on Family chosen by player during character creation process. In "Actions" section, under Missions, possible destinations of travel are listed. Traveling by horse always require Skill Horsemanship 25 and traveling by sea always require Skill Sailing 10. You can immediately back to your Home Location from any Location without meeting any requirements. But if Random Encounter occurs you cannot Travel anywhere until you resolve it. Current map of all locations is available HERE.
FATE
Number of current Fate limits number of your actions - Fate is consumed in process of performing every mission. Fate regenerates at 1 point per minute rate. Number of current Koku limits number of your actions - Koku is consumed in process of performing some missions. Koku regenerates at 1 point per minute rate. Maximum Koku equals base maximum Koku (vary for various Families) one for every three people in your Dynasty plus bonuses from equipped Items. Base maximum Koku is listed in Appendix 1.
GLORY
Measurement how glorious your actions were. At start you have Glory 0. You gain or lost Glory by performing certain missions. You can temporarily raise or lower your character's Glory value by equipping some items. Some missions and items have minimum value of Glory requirements. Glory is showed on Public Profile.

You can temporarily raise or lower your Honor value by equipping some items. Some missions and items have minimum or maximum value of Honor requirements. Rings automatically raises by one point when you meet requirements for next Ring value and formula for total Tokens needed for next Ring value is current Ring value multiply by next Ring value (so you need to collect 2 more Tokens than you have collected for previous Ring value).
[example: You have 10 Earth Tokens and Earth 3. Earth 4 needs 3x4=12 Tokens, so you need 12-10=2 more Tokens to collect to raise your Earth.]

MASTERY LEVEL
Most missions have 3 Mastery Levels - 1st is Gold (marked by square with kanji meaning "gold"), 2nd is Jade (marked by square with kanji meaning "jade") and 3rd is Emerald (marked by emerald circle since "emerald" is written with several kanji). You reach Mastery Level when you perform same mission multiple times. Usually it is 10 times for Gold, 20 for Jade and 50 for Emerald, but also it can be 1/2/4 (ex. "Atone for Past Deeds"), 3/6/15 (ex. "Return Black Scrolls for Safekeeping" and "Visit the Tattoo Artist), 4/8/20 (ex. "Medicate Plague Victims"), 8/16/40 (ex. MARRIAGE AND CLAN CHANGING
In Rokugani society marriage has little to do with love. First, you need to hire a matchmaker. With a help of matchmaker you can negotiate marriage agreements with parents from any of 8 Great Clans. When agreements are made you need to impress future parents. After that you can marry a bride or a husband (your choice). When you marry to another Clan you get possibility to join this Clan and choose one of the new Clan Families. If you do so you lose your old School Skills (but Skill Levels are kept), your base maximum Fate and Koku and ability to wear equipment or perform missions marked "Clan only" (your old Clan), but you gain new School Skills, new Family base maximum Fate and Koku and ability to wear equipment or perform missions marked "Clan only" (your new Clan). You can also marry a barbarian; it is simpler than marrying a samurai because you only need to impress barbarian parents (you need no matchmaker, but you need 2 light cavalry). There are no barbarian brides and husbands, only barbarian retainer. You cannot join barbarians after marriage. You can also change your Clan by swearing loyalty to the Spider in Daigotsu Court in City of the Lost. Marrying a samurai process require less than 100 Taint, swearing loyalty to the Spider require at least 100 Taint and marrying a barbarian has no Taint requirements. You can marry only once. You cannot undo your Clan change, but you can do it twice (through marriage and through swearing loyalty to the Spider).
GIFTS
Gift-giving is old Rokugani tradition. You can access "Gift-giving" section from "Champions" section (access from "Home" section), "View Dynasty" section (access from "Dynasty" section) or others' Public Profiles. You can send and receive as many gifts as is your Air Ring value (so if your Air Ring value is 6 you can send 6 Gifts and Receive 6 Gifts) but you can send only one Gift to one person per day. You can access "Gift-receiving" section from "Interact" section (if you have at least one gift to receive) or changing phrase "profile" to "gift" in your Profile's address (how to know it is explained at Public Profile); the same address is used to send you gifts by other players so you can send it to them or post it on Forum. When you accept a Gift (there is no double refusal, only simple yes or no) you automatically send free Favor of your Clan to your benefactor; but while sending these returned favors is free, receiving them is not and counts into number of gifts received per day. Gift counter zeros at 00:00 UTC/GMT/ZULU time. Possible Gifts are listed in Appendix 3 and Appendix 4.
