Most honorable Crab,
Let me state that first, I Akodo Jin look forward to working with you in the future. A clan such as yours is well known for a great many things, first and foremost in my mind is your noble spirit and your unyielding will. These things are qualities that we in the lion prize above many others. It is in this spirit that i give you a story recently found amongst the Ikoma library of a Hida Michio. He was a cousin of Hida Kenzan. This scroll details his unyielding will and noble spirit through his many journeys through out rokugan and the shadowlands
After his death a fellow wounded Hida was found by an Ikoma working in the shadowlands alongside your most esteemed samurai. It was there that the Ikoma took down Hida Michio's story. It is in the spirit of friendship and tender feelings of brotherhood between our two clans that i present a newly restored scroll of the tale to your clan.
I have come to the Crab clan seeking to best serve both our clans. Please do not think of me as just a lowly courtier for such a title would greatly embarrass and dishonor me. While I have not spent my life in the shadowlands, I have served there among your fine Samurai and will continue to do so now that I am once again in your company. I am a bushi first and foremost, but i also desire to be your friend and brother to fight with you against whatever enemies you may encounter. I am here to say that you have friends in the Lion Clan, and I will always be here to listen to your concerns and answer your questions as best I can.
May the Kami forever hold the Crab clan in their favor,
Akodo Jin
(OOC: Sorry i dont actually speak japanese so if said scroll is a rather exquisite recipe for bean soup, please accept my humble soup as delicious gratitude for being in your company)
