Where is the best place to farm glory without needing items?

There isn't a good spot for glory without items.
Skirmish with lost in City of the lost requires Jade (not used) and expends Light infantry. Gives 10 glory.
As far as I know, that's the best, most cost effective way to rapidly gain glory.

The lowest Fate cost action that does not consume anything or give Taint/Infamy but still gives more than 1 Glory is Battle Yobanjin forces at Shiro Ichiro. 2 Glory for 6 Fate, and will also drop Light Infantry that can then be used for Skirmishing with the Lost to gain yet more Glory.

If you have unicorn favors, and you should have ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) There is an Audience with Khan, or something like that (I haven't been in Unicorn lands for a long time now), 3 fate for 3 glory ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Drops a lot of unicorn stuff.

It's just friendly rivalry. They've even been demonstrating it in their RPs...

Ok, now that I've met my particular glory-farming goals, I'm going to let everyone in on my secret. I decided a few weeks after creating Mai in the EE game to see if it was possible to get the #1 spot in my clan. It took over six months, but I did it. Heck, I might have even done it in less time, but it took me a little while to find the best place to do it, plus I still found time to play the game itself and participate in clan votes, battles, new actions, not to mention actually having a Real Life and stepping away from the computer occasionally. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) The problem with Skirmishing with the Lost is that recruiting all those lights is a very low glory-to-fate ratio. You'd spend a day doing nothing but recruiting, and get maybe 100-150 infantry for your efforts -- and that's only presuming you have light armor, yaris, or other basic things to 'equip' for the basic 10 fate to 1 unit. That would last about two days of solid Lost skirmishing. Presuming a day with about 18 hours of usable fate (I think I top out at that much if the only 'wasted' fate is had when I'm sleeping), that's about 650 or so fate on a skirmishing day, 100 or so on a recruiting day, with a total increase rate of...450-460 glory per day, on average. My method gives a consistent increase rate of at least 500-600 glory per day, every day, and while it does require farming items, they can be farmed and spent as they are collected. Here it is: 1. Get yourself a decent koku pool. My highest is 45, with dynasty and equipment, but it needs 10 at a minimum, and more is always better to avoid 'waste'. 2. Go to Shiro Daidoji and pay respects to the Daidoji daimyo. It costs 4 fate and 2 koku, and gives 1 glory, but more importantly, it drops Crane favors. It also drops yari and light armor, which are also fairly useful. 3. As your koku refill rate begins to exceed your fate refill rate, travel to Kyuden Doji (it only takes one click) and spend your Crane favors at the tailor. 4. As your fate refill rate begins to exceed your koku or when you run out of Crane favors, repeat process starting at step 2. Some days the RNG is better than others, but I don't think I've ever gotten less than 500 glory in a day when I've been able to do this consistently. For an added bonus, I *do* go to the City of the Lost when I have a lot more fate than koku -- after a long pause in gameplay, after a level up, that kind of thing. You end up using only a few light infantry, but it gives a big bonus to your glory rate. My highest one-day gain was 765 doing this method. If you did nothing else, you could theoretically gain 58k glory (enough to hit the top ten boards as it currently stands) in...four months, maybe?
