Ready to face the Yobanjin

[Daidoji Fitsu]

Outside the walls of Shiro Akodo approaches a large force of ashigaru, units numbering in the hundreds. At their head is a contingent of Iron Crane led by Daidoji Fitsu, his sashimono fluttering in a westward breeze.

I have come with what support the Crane can spare, let us show these barbarians what the Emporer's Hands can do working together.

[Akodo Tomatsu]

Walking out through the massive gates of Shiro Akodo, wearing his Lion stylized armor, which is rare for the Champion to be seen in, he approaches the Daidoji. Ah Daidoji-san, welcome to Shiro Akodo. I bet many of your ancestors would be jealous of your current position, being at the gates of Shiro Akodo with an army. Come inside and meet some of my generals, our armies are making final preparations to leave and we should be under way by mid day. We make for Beiden pass first, to meet with a contingent of Scorpion Clan forces before we march on the Yobanjin, assuming that is agreeable to you, Daidoji-san?

[Daigotsu Daisuke]

As Daidoji-san stands at the head of his army in front of shiro Akodo, a large contingent of heavy infantry march through the road towards the castle of the swift sword, seeing the large army a lone figure at the front on top of a horse directs the rest towards the parade ground of shiro Akodo. Coming in closer he dismounts, removes his helmet and joins the two already on the parade grounds.
This may be the first time our ancestors have seen this oddity on these parade grounds, the armies of our two clans on these parade grounds standing calmly and peacefully. I welcome your efforts Daidoji-san and would be honored to fight with you on the battlefield against the horrible excuse for humans that are the Yobanjin people.

[Akodo Tomatsu]

Raises a slight eyebrow at his second-in-command's statement, but is only phased for a second. Allow me to introduce you two. Daidoji-san, this is Akodo Jin, my second-in-command for this army. A brilliant strategist and a veteran of battling the Yobanjin already. He then turns to Jin. Jin-san, this is Daidoji Fitsu, I believe you'll recall he defeated all the Akodo War College graduates at this years Go competition at Winter Court. He is quite the interesting soul, and one I hope to help along on his bright future.

[Bayushi Senshi]

(OOC: It will be so cool if we all do meet up in Beiden Pass before we go. Friggin Awesome. I'll be waiting there for sure.)

[Daidoji Fitsu]

Fitsu looks somewhat abashed that he has taken so long to respond. Perhaps it is that he fears to offend either his ancesters or his gracious host by saying something inappropriate.

Thank you Akodo-sama, I am flattered that you noticed my performance. Although I defeated many students of the War College at Wintercourt, it was while keeping in mind all that I had learned of tactics from your most honored ancestor's text on the subject.

I look forward to meeting the famous tacticians of your family. Together we shall be invincible I am thinking.

If possible, I would prefer to be treated as if I know nothing of your troops' capabilities. While stones on a Go board are all equal, different units in a real army have vastly different strengths and specializations, and it would be folly for me to act as if I know your forces half so well as your commanders.

Indeed, the Beiden Pass seems the most sensible and direct route to the enemy, and therefore our victory.

I am pleased to make your acquaintance Jin-sama. Being Second in campaign of this magnitude speaks highly of your ability, and the esteem your daimyo holds you in.

[Akodo Tomatsu]

Motions off to a messenger from the side, taking the letter and reading it quickly. It seems, Daidoji-san, that the tour of Shiro Akodo will have to wait, our Scorpion friends have assembled an army more quickly than I guess. They are already waiting at Beiden pass for us. He looks up and tells the messenger, Tell all other generals to meet us at Mountain Watch Keep, my tent shouldn't be hard to find there. Turning back to the conversation, Now gentlemen, unless there are any other generals here Jin-san, shall we get under way?

[Bayushi Senshi]

[Daigotsu Daisuke]

Jin bows to Tomatsu as he enters the conversation. After Daidojis response he says
I am honored Daidoji-sama to be working with you in this task. I have only heard great things about your abilities. Truly you do all of us great honor by studying Akodo-samas great text. Go certainly is one thing, and the battlefield another, yet just this understanding proves much about your character.

After the messenger arrives:
I am ready to move out when you are my lord.

He waits patiently for tomatsu and Fitsu to disembark

[Matsu Domotai]

Matsu domotai leaps out of his modest house situated on the borders of Shiro Matsu and rides towards the training ground of Shiro Akodo where the lion troups have been assembled to fight the Yobanjin. Domotai had only one thing in mind at that time: spill some Yobanjin blood to avenge the murder of his brother by one of these dishonorable humans. Unfortunately the army has moved.

" I knew I should have polished my armor and repaired my Katana yesterday."

Domotai bumps into an Akodo bushi.

" Where is the lion army that are going to fight the Yobanjin, samurai san? On the way to Beiden! Thank you honorable samurai, may the ancestors be with you."

Domotai leaps on his horse and rides as quick as possible towards beiden.

[Akodo Tomatsu]

Well Daidoji-san, shall we make for Beiden pass? Motions for his horse to be brought forward, turning and when the horse is presented, climbing on his saddle of the pure black Gaijin warhorse. A servant runs up to the champion and hands him a simple pair of wooden sandals, which he accepts before turning to the assembled group before him. Let the Gaijin loose their nerve when they hear that this army marches to battle them.

[Matsu Domotai]

After a few minutes Matsu Domotai reaches the lion clan army that had just gone from Shiro Akodo. The army was immense and reflected with pride the power of our clan. A miriade of banners where floating in the air and all our clans strength was represented. We could see the Matsu Bushi fierce, determined and ready to die in honor, the Akodo tacticians on their guard and already planning the great battle to come, the kitsu praying the ancestors and asking for the guidance of the Kamis and the Ikoma taking care of the moral of our troops with the heroic stories of our honorable ancestors. Matsu Domotai also perceived crane and Monkey clan banners. He was astonished but happy to see that peace had broken out to fight our common ennemy, the Yobanjin. Matsu Domotai rode quickly to the front of the army to meet Akodo Tomatsu san.

" Hello Akodo san. My blade is here to serve you. I am awfully sorry for being late to join your army but I would like to participate in the epic battle to come. Please tell me what I can do to serve you and where do you want me placed. Once again I am looking forward to battling the Yobanjin by your side. May the ancestors be with us."

Domotai bows before Akodo san and waits for a response.

[Akodo Tomatsu]

Turns to greet the new face at the conversation, while Lion clan troops marched through the gates of Shiro Akodo towards Beiden pass. Ah hello Matsu-san, I did not know you were still in Lion lands. I am glad you heard my decree and found us before we left, the more generals we have when our grand army reaches the field of battle, the larger the impact our forces will have in our first engagement.
