Flicking the blood from his nodachi and nodding to the Crane, Ayumu then turned and grabbed the injured assailant laying in the mud by his hair.
"You. We have questions. You have answers. You are going to give those answers to us."
With that, the large man began dragging the bandit through the rain and mud by his hair, into the sake house.

The House of the Last Dragon was eerily quiet as Ayumu reentered with his captive in tow, the man moaning every now and again as he is in considerable pain. The bodies of the various dead men around the room lay in pools of slightly congealing blood, the tables scattered around a very shocked Yakizora and Saiki. The monk, meanwhile, remains on one knee, his eyes closed as he mumbles incomprehensible words, seemingly oblivious to anything around him. The heavy scent of death hangs low in the air, deadening most noises, though the sounds of sobbing can be heard drifting down the stairs.

Taking a look around, Ayumu released the crippled bandit's hair, leaving him in a crumpled heap on the floor.
"What happened in here?"
He started making his way towards the stairs, and the sound of sobbing.

The rain was falling softly and Eiji was now thoroughly soaked from all the excursion. He moved back over to the porch in front of the Tsi's house and reclaimed his yumi. He placed it back within it's holder to keep it from getting any wetter than it already was. He made his way back across the road and followed Ayumu in.
After seeing the state of things he marched up to where his wife was and began looking around warily for anything to have harmed her. Seeing that her kimono was clean, and she therefore was unwounded, he turned to face the mantis, and then the monk. Trying to piece together what had happened.
To no one in particular he said "What happened?" His tone was very authoritative, and his mask held nothing to help determine his emotional state.

Saiki remained in the same place, shrunken and clearly frightened by the carnage. Although she at first thought to go talk to the monk, this idea was pushed to the back of her mind because the Shosuro woman just could not get the feet off the place.

Kazushige, despite his best efforts, could not keep a slight limp from his gait as he made his way to the sake house. One inside he limped toward the nearest bottle of sake and collapsed into a chair, grabbing the bottle and gulping it down. He tore a strip from the bottom of his hakama before rolling it up to expose the wound, dumped a bit of alcohol on it with a grunt of pain, and set about tending to it. He muttered irritably as he worked, something about not paying attention during the instruction of healing magic.
((OOC: Making a Medicine roll here to tend to the wound with whatever's handy.))

With a cold blankness, Shigeoki remains standing where he was, unmoving, in the rain. Blood runs off his sword in rivulets as the rain washes it all away.
Looking down at his shoulder with a blank stare, it seems as if he barely notices the damage that was done by the enemy yari. After a few more moments of letting the rain was away the blood that continues to slowly issue from the wound, he moves to follow the others inside, where he finds a table and waits for the others to discuss what was obviously an attempt to stop them.

A strange, gurgling noise began to erupt from the bandit Ayumu was questioning; it started as a low hacking noise, dry and cracked, but as a smile crosses the man's face you realize; he is laughing. It comes in spurts, short gurgling noises, but gradually he laughs more and more, the sound becoming even more sick and unsettling, until you realize; the man's tongue has been cut out.
The monk, meanwhile, has risen from his meditative rest, and walks over to where the group is standing. He takes a look around the group until finally landing his gaze upon the cackling man, and his eyes seem... strange. There is no anger, not even curiosity, it seems more like... understanding. He looks back up at the group before looking to Eiji, and finally speaks. "Who hears, who sees?" His voice is rough and unbalanced, as though he is unused to speaking, and a strange rhythm seems to accompany it.

Watching the sordid scene play out in uncomfortable silence, Ayumu looks towards the strange monk.
"I hear, but I do not understand. I see, but I do not comprehend."

His mask stared at the monk, trying to discern something, anything about how this scene had unfolded. He adjusted his positioning such that if he had to strike at the monk, he would be able to; as the monk seemed unbalanced.
"I am not one to understand the esoterica that normally accompanies a monk when they speak or act, but at the same time, I would really like it if my question was answered. By you, or someone else. Just in case the last few seconds have passed without notice, I ask again. What. Happened?"
He did not back down off of his tone, and the repeated question came out louder than his normal speaking voice, he was clearly speaking to everyone that was in the bar at the same time.
