So, tonight there was a couple of people talking in the Cbox about getting into the CCG. Right now is the BEST time to get in because AEG is offering up all their emperor edition cards up for free to play in the form of proxies being made legal in tournament play. This goes on until mid march when Emperor Edition comes out and is actually legal to play. Here is a great flyer they gave that has links to printable pre-built decks that you can use to make a proxy deck. You may CLICKY! This will lead you to the PDF of the flyer, which has some helpful/fluffy info as well. Additionally, here is the PDF of all the kolat Emperor Edition cards available to download and print at your leisure. So that you can build your own custom decks. You may CLICKY!Finally, here is the rulebook for you to peruse. It will most likely explain a lot of what you need to know, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. You may CLICKY!Regularly you should check the L5r.com for errata and stuff, to see if any cards *cough Raido no oni* have been changed or banned. As for where to play, you should check your local game/comic/hobby stores. If they don't already sell it, they can and should. If you make a need, they will if they are smart business-peoples. AEG also has a stronghold store locator on their site, but sometimes it doesn't list everything so... but it might help. The store locator may be found on their site, and conviently, you may CLICKY!

Useful info, thanks.
There's a "level 4" Stronghold in Atlanta, but it doesn't seem to have any L5R CCG on the calendar... if any Atlanta CCG players are here, a heads-up on where's best to play would be most appreciated!

I have a question. Please tell me about, and how to, cards for koku. There used to be a redemption program where you sent in the wrappers from the CCG (as well as any card marked in flavor text as being worth 1 koku) for specific cards on a list that was printed in each issue of the Imperial Herald. As I am no longer an Imperial Assembly member I cannot validate that as the only method of koku redemption.

They have a form that you print off the website, but they don't do it for non-imperial-assembly members any more, IIRC. It's been a while since I looked into it.
