OOC:This thread is open to anyone. I left a bit of an opening but feel free to come in how you want. This does not coincide with anything in particular with the clicky side of things.

Barkers heralded the arrival of The Cricket Clan for several weeks. No one knew what to make of the news as no one had truly heard of such a clan. With several strong questions with the barkers magistrates were able to determine that it was not someone going against imperial law. The barkers changed their tune after that and soon people were excited for the ronin kabuki troupe that was bold enough to call itself a clan.
On the day of their arrival a caravan of large wagons moved to the edge of the City of the Rich Frog and soon the site was crawling with activity as the caravan inhabitants began setting up the large outdoor stage. The activity drew spectators but all were turned away during set up. The only ones who were even talked to about coming early were the samurai of the controlling Kaeru family. Even the demands of magistrates were pushed off to until almost boiling point when finally just before nightfall, it was fully set up and people were allowed into the area.
The area was lit by countless paper lanterns of all shades and designs. Incense was hung below most lanterns creating an odd ambiance. The admittance was cheap enough for even peasants to enter and free for children thus the audience filled. The stage area sat empty until black clad stage hands brought out the biwa for the performance and the first scene props. Then out came the thing that had most people interested. The thing the barkers bragged about. An orangutan exited from behind the stage approached the instrument. The audience stared as it picked it up and strummed it with a produced pick. It then proceeded to play the music for the opening scene.
The play itself was a well-known story of a frog and his encounter with a scorpion. What was shown was a modified version of it adding a lot to the story including a chance encounter with a fox that was returning from a battle with a crane that had found itself sold out, a maiden that faced a tough decision with a boy, and a snake that strived to be recognized. At the end of the play when the scorpion stung the frog the known ending was not encountered and it raised many eyebrows as what came out was the ending in which the scorpion claims it can swim.
However all this was just a distraction. Once the scenes opened a tall powerfully built woman slipped away. Her dark hair was braided all the way down to the back of her calved fluttered softly as she darted from cover to cover. Her dark stage clothing hugged tightly to her body while she kept a bisento close and pointed down until she finally crossed her target.
The aging man clipped away at a bonsai tree unaware of his stalker. The man was a teacher at the local dojo for the Kaeru family. He was well respected and was kindly to all around him. He was charged with keeping watch over the next generation. Within the breadth of time his eyes flashed up and at his attacker as the crystal edged bisento sliced through him. In the morning the alarm would be raised. People will panic and the magistrates will be called upon. They will begin the questioning as to what happened to the body. However the real question will be raised, where is his face and why is there a crystal embedded in the forehead.
Misaki will have just down for breakfast at a tavern when someone will have come to question her. Her tea, sitting warm with its steam drifting slowly upwards, about to be brought up to her lips…
