[ooc]
So, I think that I'm going to call my followers "Akunin" 悪人, roughly translated, it means evil / wicked Man/men, and will give me a nifty name for my bad guys, since Ikazuchi is a nifty name for the good guys
This RP is fairly open, but probably short in nature. It follows Back Where it all Began chronologically. If you have business around Tokigogachu, and are interested in RP, PM me.
[/ooc]On the seas, en route to Tokigogachu
Two days had passed since Shoju had made contact with Yoritomo Daisuke. Shoju and his Second, Otsu, had traveled north with the speed of the corrupted Earth Kansen of the Shadowlands, and used a freak storm in the Yasuki provinces to make it to a Kobune headed towards Mantis Lands with due haste. The pair had a laughably easy time slaughtering the Kobune's crew, and had siezed control of it. Shoju reanimated a few of the crew to keep the Kobune moving. The dead were infinitely more agreeable than the living. As they headed towards the port, Shoju stood on the deck studying the sky. " This will simply not do. Otsu-san, we need to be inconspicuous. I believe some cover is in order." As he finished speaking, he raised the blood red hood up over his head. " I do hope that this man is worth the time."

Otsu grinned. "I'll see what I can do," he said. Instinctively he reached for his scroll case, and cleared his throat awkwardly when he realized it was no longer there. He closed his eyes and lifted his arms as a means of focusing, tapping into that new source of power within him. He felt the sky begin to darken through his closed eyelids as he visualized stormclouds covering the sky, and as the ship began to buck harder beneath his feet, he opened his eyes to see what he'd conjured.
The sky was nearly black, and lightning crackled angrily in the darkness above them. The clouds above moved with unnatural speed, and the sea began to churn violently as the wind picked up. Within minutes, it was impossible to see anything beyond the bow of the kobune, and the ship rose and fell violently with the swell of the sea. "I may have overdone it a bit," he muttered as he gripped the ship's railing tightly.

Shoju grinned from under his hood. "You did well Otsu-san. Your control will improve with time." Shoju paced the ship as the port of Tokigogachu came into view. It had been what seemed forever since he had stepped foot on Mantis lands. Before his first death, he had arrived here in search of clues for the bloodspeaker sect he had tracked. It was his only visit.
As they arrived in port, the storm raged on. Shoju directed the undead crew to the lower decks of the Kobune, and locked them in. While Undead were fantastic at giving orders, left to their own devices, at a time like this, the results could be devastating.
From the dock, Those workers who had stayed and sought shelter from the storm would see robed and hooded men walking through the storm, calmly, not running to seek shelter. Their crew had docked the ship, and then sought refuge in the Kobune itself. These two men, were headed into town.

The pair walked off the dock, and into the town. Shoju closed his eyes, seemingly in deep thought. He stood there for a moment in the pouring rain, and then opened his eyes, and began walking again. They crisscrossed through the city, and came to an inn, in a seedier portion of town.
Shoju walked in, leaving his hood up, and arranged for quarters. He waved a robed arm in Otsu's direction, prodding him to follow. As they reached the room, and the door was closed behind them, Shoju sighed, and removed the wet outrobe.
"I do believe your storm will brew for a good long while." Shoju said, grinning as he looked out the window. "All the better to keep us hidden."
Shoju turned, and sat down cross legged on the floor, and took a meditative posture.

Shoju spent several minutes meditating, and found his quarry. He was here, in Tokigogachu. Shoju smiled as he opened his eyes. He knew exactly where to find him.
With the rain beating outside, Shoju donned his outer hooded robe, and looked at Otsu and nodded. The two beings prepared to depart.
A few minutes away, in a bar, Yoritomo Daisuke sat, drinking himself into a stupid while the Geisha played a haunting melody on her Biwa. His mind poured over the dreams he had. Was the hooded figure in his dream real? Was this all a wild goose chase? He didn't know. But his other dreams... the dreams of uniting the clan... Well, they were turning bloodier with each passing night.

Shoju and Otsu stood outside the Geisha house for a few moments taking in the surroundings, the patrols, the Geisha House's muscle, everything. The storm was making things harder on the Mantis patrols, which was a good thing. It was impossible to determine how this would go. Humans had a knack for being unpredictable at times.
Satisfied that he was ready, Shoju walked into the geisha house. The water poured off his robes onto the carpet, and a man quickly came to attempt to help remove their outer coats. "I promise that won't be necessary. Shoju spoke. Under his hood, he closed his eyes and reached out through the air in the geisha house.
Shoju saw where Daisuke rested, drunken and full of himself. He turned to the man who had come to aid him, and spoke. "I have business with Yoritomo Daisuke-san." As he finished speaking his eyes flashed bright green under the hood, startling the man backwards.
As the two being approached Daisuke's area, the Geisha took notice, and began to fumble at her playing. Daisuke looked up, and saw the two men. Suddenly, this was all a little too real. A cold sweat set in on his forehead, and the alcohol seemed to be draining from his system at an alarming rate.
Good evening Daisuke-san. It is good to meet you. Shoju spoke in a pleasant tone.
I uh... wel... welcome. Daisuke stammered. I didn't expect you so... so.. soon.
Shoju grinned under his hood, and his eyes flashed yellow. I am one for keeping to my word. Three days was agreed upon. Three days it has been.
Daisuke nodded, and held his arm out, gesturing for them to sit, and then leaned over towards the geisha, and began to whisper.
Shoju shook his head as he sat. "She doesn't need to leave, I promise. I'm just here to talk really. " Shoju folded his arms against his chest, his hands never visible. "I'm truly interested in knowing if you still desire the chance to save it all."

The Mantis was uneasy, but the Geisha at his side kept him from running. The quartet stayed for quite some time, and Shoju spoke vaguely enough to keep The Yoritomo interested. As evening became early morning, The Yoritomo had agreed to join Shoju, and save the Empire from itself.
Shoju explained that they would need to make haste, and the trio left the Geisha House, and headed back towards the docks, under the cover of the storm. As they reached the boat, Yoritomo Daisuke finally asked. " You're the Tuskai that I've heard about aren't you? You're the one that betrayed the Scorpion Clan... The one that tried to barter for acceptance in Hantei's court in exchange for legitamacy... The one that Senshi squared...."
Shoju had stopped walking, and turned and looked at the man as he was talking. He reached up, and his sleeves for the first time showed skin on his hands. The blue plated carapace stopped the flow of words from the Yoritomo's mouth. Shoju pulled his hood down, exposing his head, his eyes, his mouth. He nodded, and began to speak. "I am all of those things. I am Shoju, formerly Bayushi Taizin. The traitor. The Khadi. The... Oni. " He cocked his head to the side, and smiled. "Does this change things?"
Daisuke staggered back, bumping into Otsu as he did. "I... No. This doesn't change anything. " He tried to look strong after betraying weakness. "I just wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into."
Shoju smiled, as he turned and headed below the deck. "We'll see, Daisuke-san. We'll see..
Later, in the dark of night, screams could be heard from this ship. They were inhuman at best. The storm covered most of them, but a Shugenja would have known, and understood.
In the morning, the storm was subsiding, and a crew most peculiar was preparing the vessel for launch. three hooded figures could be seen directing the crew. As the Kobune left port in Tokigogachu, the remnants of the storm seemed to leave with it.
