After sending an Air spirit to White Shore plains and to Kenji, Taïsa of his Otokodate, Kageji stepped down. He would have to wait for an answer. The turn of events was interesting, indeed, if Toturi's Army could cast aside his differences and fight for a greater cause than bickering over the Throne.
He simply sit and began meditating.
He couldn't help but think of the giant fighting over the land of Rokugan, their shadows cast on a million small silhouettes, crying at the destruction around.
The vision changed suddenly. Another shadow, cast far from above the two giants, plunged the whole scene into darkness.
The stern face of a Kuni Tsukai-Sagasu formed in his mind, and spoke.
"Kageji-san, I am Kuni Sakari. Bloodspeakers have been spotted in Clear Water village. Crabs are flooded in Tidal Landbridge. Breached wall of Fortress of the Forgotten is overwhelmed with a Shadowlands attack. The situation is dire. Please send reinforcements."
The presentation was useless. Kageji remembered the make-up, the intonations, the direct style of the Crab Shugenja. He was a real message. And if it was, it was of the greatest importance. Kageji stood up and rush to the main tent of the camp. He rushed into something he hadn't expected.
All generals were assembled here, looming over military maps. He was well too obvious than they were going nor for any peace, neither for war against the real ennemy.
Kageji delivered the message he was untrusted with anyway.
"Samurai-sama, situation is dire in the south. The Earthquake we all heard of was just the first operation of a vast Shadowlands attack. The Crab army is flooded in Tidal Landbrige. Bloodspeakers are in Clear Water village. More important of all, Fortress of the Forgotten is under attack by a Shadowlands horde. The earthquake was just a way to breach the wall. Please, intervene in the right fight !"
All samurais stopped their conversations, listening at Kageji. All looked at each other, puzzling. Kageji waited, hoping for a quick answer and decision.
