That's the answer Takeo san. I would have been deeply sad, if you didn't join us. We had serious talks during my days in Kyuden Doji, but we never had the chance to be entertained together unfortunately. The presence of You just lifts the glory of this evening.
Kasuga san, what do You say? I hope it's hard to refuse this invitation of this honorable Seppun. I'm very interested in the stories You haven't told us yet - I'm sure there are many in your mind, and the appropriate environment will help a lot to color them.

The Kasuga smiles broadly...
"Who am I to turn down such fine and entertaining company? I look forward to continuing this very interesting night. I am also certain that there are many untold stories by the others at this table, and I look forward to hearing them!"

Seppun Jinto smiled happily as all three samurai took him up on his offer. On the way to the establishment he had each one introduce himself and explained a bit about his position in the Seppun family and how it seemed he may have a prominent role in the leadership of the Shogun's army. He was not at all humble as he shared this detail, rather proud in fact. On the positive side he noted each of the samurai's names and reassurred them, not that they needed it, that if he was able he would be sure to give them the most glorious posts in the coming battles if they so wished. He boasted about his intentions to lead from the front - and some of his guards visibly tired at these comments. They had obviously been shared with many others well before Kaito, Himiwari and Takeo.
After about 10 minutes the group were in eyesight of a decadent looking building. What looked like ronin, three of them, stood outside along with a young child - presumably a messenger. It would be clear that this is a geisha house. Jinto happily steps inside and takes off his sandles, swapping them for slippers as he is greeted by the oka-san and owner of the establishment. Two of his guards stay at the doors of the building and the ronin avoid them. The oka-san bows very respectfully and merely says "this way please samas" as she escorts them upstairs. The enveloping darkness outside is replaced inside by bright lights and the sound of music and laughter from some of the rooms.
Jinto and his two remaining guards hand their katana over to the secretary of the oka-san and her chief servant who humbles himself at their feet. He then casually walks after the woman with his guards. He has clearly been here before. He turns back to his invited guests "Wait until you see our room"

The Kasuga nods to the Samurai that will guard outside, then steps in, under the red lanterns that are painted with the names of the Geisha inside. He scans the names, but does not recognize any of them.
As he walks inside, he cheerily waves to a few minor clan samurai, merchants and ronin that he has spoken with before.
"Sometimes the best way to avoid being overheard is more noise, rather than less..." he says, repeating an saying common to Rokugan.
Kasuga follows, and cannot wait to see the room.

I remained silent, looking at the house where we bring Seppun jinto. Looking around me, I remained on alert. I did not normally visit a geisha house and I felt uncomfortable. I'm draw sheet in a dojo where I can repeat my kata as long as I want! However, my curiosity made me stay with my two friends Kaito and Kasuga. Meanwhile following the events of the evening.

I haven't been to this house before, but this doen't mean anything Jinto sama. I had the opportunity to spend months in the capital, when I was a young bushi, nearly after my gempukku as a yojimbo of an Ikoma courtier.
A quick smile appears on the Lion bushi's face.
Those were beautiful days: the days of youth and confidence. I'm eager to see how you're going to surprise us with the faciliteis of this geisha house.
Kaito follows the Sepun noble, and also gives his katana to the secretary, but he also touches his wakizashi instinctively - it's hard to be separated from his sword and be nearly unarmed for a Matsu. His face calms down again after he feels his short sword on his hip.

Jinto chuckled at Kaito's words while the older woman that was with them merely turned and bowed her head "I hope you will find it to your liking samurai-sama"
Up the stairs of the building the group found a long corridor with equally long rooms on either side. Toward the back of the corridor was another staircase that led to the third floor, which was much the same in layout but slightly more elegant in presentation. It had beautiful paintings, calligraphy wall scrolls and flower arrangements on display. A pretty teenaged peasant girl was at a pair of sliding doors on her knees and spotted the group as they hit the top of the stairs. She opened the doors and slid back, bowing her head very low.
The group was shown inside, with Jinto inviting his two guards inside. They both seemed very uptight as they took standing positions on either side of the spacious room. Inside the room, which seemed to have two smaller rooms on either side, was a central slightly raised table surrounded by different coloured cushions. There was also a raised area with an alcove that caught the eye, holding three pieces of pottery each painted in whites and blacks reminiscent of Winter. The room smelt ever so slightly of camilla flowers, possibly some perfume. The paper walls did not completely drown out the laugher and music from the lower levels but did a delightful job of keeping the room warm and cosey. It was lit by a handful of well placed lanterns that glowed softly. In one of the corners of the room stood a large folding shoji screen, a laquer piece that was very attractive. It's two ends touched the walls. Finally, multiple wakizashi stands stood along the wall away from the door, on either side of the alcove area. Jinto and his guards did not make a move to remove their wakizashi at this time but perhaps as the night wore on...
The older lady who had spoken earlier assured Jinto that entertainment would soon be on the way and asked if he had any particular requests. He requested some snacks be brought up before turning to the group to see if they had any requirements. His easygoing expression told them that it would not be a problem.

"Any requests then my new friends?" he asked, with a beaming smiling "you may be surprised at how diligently requests are responded to here. They are keen to please in my experience. And most successful at it too."
The older lady smiled at this and bowed "thank you Seppun-sama. You flatter us too much"
"Think nothing of it" he said matter of factly before turning around and taking a seat at the rectangular table "and some tea please. Some energising"
The woman bowed deeply and then righted herself, her attention on the other samurai present. She kept her head low, likely trying to please her new customers so that they may return later

Kaito follows Jinto through the corridors. He sits down on the place of the second important guest as Takeo's status is higher than his, but Kasuga san tough a honorable man, but is still from a minor clan.
The Lion keeps his wakizashi tightly on his hip. It seems there's no chance he would separate from his short sword. His face shows excitiment and joy.
Thank You for the invitation Jinto sama, this house shows elegance and excitment. Kaito bows his head and turns to the woman. Starting with tea sounds refreshing, but some warm sake would make the chat more fluent. So if you don't mind I would order a bottle for each of us, and some snack would be also good to help us remain sober.

Accepting the invitation of Seppun jinto, I sitted on his line. My glance was posed on the maidservant but I do not say any words. I listened to Kaito speech with the imperial commander and during this time, I looked around me to see whether I did not know any other people. When Kaito announced that we should eat, I accepted.
“it is very a good idea, Kaito san, I believe that will be able only to make us good.”
Turning me towards Seppun jinto, I tell him:
“Seppun sama, how see you to it conflict which opposes to us in Yoganjin which dared to attack us?”
My eyes were folded, seeking to know which was imperial family member.

(ooc: NP Kaito, thanks for the heads up. We can resume in a bit. I'm hoping kasuga will be back soon too. I'll skip along a bit and narrate in third person so we can continue when we're ready)
A refreshing and energising tea is brought up in that swiftly fills the room with a hint of honey smell. Warm sake holders are then brought in, with a cup for each guest, along with a good number of snacks and some more filling side dishes.
In the meanwhile, Jinto explained that the imperial families, for the most part, were keen to engage the barbarians. He shared his thoughts on the conflict with Takeo primarily and offered some of his own opinion but he became distracted when two more entered the room. They announced themselves, slide the door open and entered on their knees, the shorter woman closing the door behind them. Jinto took over and invited them in with a pleased smile.
Both women were clearly geisha and they were as beautiful as is expected, but they held themselves with a certain poise and grace that was even further eye catching.
One was taller than the other and wore a long orange, gold and white kimono with a few sunflower motif patterns. It showed off slightly more of her neck then was perhaps the norm but she adjusted her kimono to obscure this as it was noticed. Quite alluring. In her left hand she held a fan with a winter scene on one side and a spring scene on the other and kept her head low deferentially. She introduced herself as Senhime. The shorter woman, though both women were not exactly tall, carried a shamisen (three stringed instrument) gently. Her kimono was blue and green and almost appeared to shine. It's highlight was a dove amongst the first buds of spring. It was very tasteful. She said her name was Honako. They bore wore pleasing smiles and seemed keen to entertain the samurai.
After introducing themselves, Jinto asked them if another geisha, Beniha, would be joining them. He seemed surprised when they said she was out this evening (more likely, she was in another room or unwell but to say someone is out is the correct thing to say in Rokugan). He settled down as Honako began playing a light and sweet song while Senhime asked the four how their day had been.
