*After returning from his affairs at winter court, Tonbo Tombe is greeted instantly by an eager serant.*
“Ah Hakezo, it has been some time.” Tombe sighed. “I am weathered and wore from my travel, but I suspect that there are affairs to attend to. I must say I would’ve been more hesitant to return home early has I realized I’d be welcome by a length of scroll than a warm cup of sake, but I kid you my child. What news do you have.” Hakezo handed the scrolls gingerly to Tombe. Tombe took them in hand and wished Hakezo a good evening, one of them sound get some sleep this night.
“hmm...” Tombe thought to himself “It seems the champion has once again thrown himself(herself) too heavily into his(her) work... no matter, I will attend to this duties in his stead.”
The following morning, as Tombe finishing inking a letter, Hakezo entered the room.
“Ahh, excellent Hakezo. I have matters for you to attend to. In our champions absence I will see to his duties as usual. Have these lettered delivered. To save you the question, the first is our deepest gratitude to our dragon allies, for their generous support our time of need. We are of their blood, and then selfless generosity to their child in need will not be forgotten. Send with it my finest painting.” Tombe paused, looking to the painting in admiration. His concentration on task again: “the second to Kitsuki Yushahime. Her words and gestures are sincere, and so is my invitation. Have her welcomed to the reopening of Kyuden Tonbo as a guest of honor.”
“Now of Taka-san... I find this to be most embarrassing. After the messages are sent, find Taka personally and have him brought to our meeting room. I truly value patience, and so I will wait for his arrival on this occasion. I hope this can provide a matter of respect he is due.”
*With that, Tombe retired to the meeting room for meditation until his visitor arrived.*

(OOC: First a wrap-up of the previous night...)
Taka enjoyed the presence of the Dragon, especially the very interesting Kitsuki. For one that hadn't left his home province, the travelling Investigator was a source of news and knowledge that he would normally not have access to. To top it off, she was attractive, a very well-dressed and of pleasant company. The young shugenja didn't see the time pass and the day was long over when he realized that his guests were tired and would probably prefer to go to bed than to answer his novice questions. After an exchange of politeness, he excused himself and went to the nearest shrine to obtain shelter for the night.
(OOC: Now back to our regular programming...)
Right after Taka's morning prayers, an ederly shugenja named Kaito comes and tells him that he is, once again, summoned to the Daimyo's estate. Wishing him luck, Kaito gives him a piece of cloth containing two rice cakes and a small jug of water. Kata thanks his host and return to the most imposing structure of Kyuden Tonbo. Once again, he is greeted by Hakezo who informs him that Tonbo Tombe is waiting for him. Brushing off pieces of the rice cakes he had swallowed on his way, Taka re-enters the audience chamber and bows to his superior.
"Konichiwa, Tombe-sama"
(OOC: Taka is 17-18 year old, about 2 or 3 year after of his gempukku. He nevr left Kyuden Tonbo and was summoned by the Champion and he doesn't have a clue on why...)

It was a busy night for Oronkohiro. So many things to attend to. So many plans to set into motion. He found a suitable peasant for his needs, and spent most of the time in preparation for a trip to court today. Should his trip run afoul, the peasants sacrifice will ensure that he is able to leave without being detained. Much work went into crafting this Minion. It is a shame that it was most assuredly going to be put down before the night had come.
Oronkohiro cleaned his robes, and spent a good amount of time ensuring that his jingasa was clean and presentable. He tied his hair back, ever so loosely down his back, Making sure that the hair fell in the proper way on his neck to hide the Spider Tattoo.
Once ready, Oronkohiro left his small room, and started making his way towards the estate of the Dragonfly Daimyo.

Sprinkles entered Kyuden Tonbo disguised as a merchant bringing rice on behalf of the Unicorn. He wore simple clothes and stayed out of the sight of as many samurai as possible. He was corrupted by the Taint but knew how to hide himself well. Once he saw his opportunity he broke away and found Oronkohiro. "The peasants bringing the rice in are trained well and hired to protect us if need be. I'll be around if needed but I must be careful around here. If I am seen with you it could ruin everything"

"I agree." Oronkohiro was pleased that more had come.
"In a short time, I will be meeting with the Daimyo of the Dragonfly, and attempting to sway him to our position. When I am granted an audience, I will send for you."
With more people arriving by the minute to bring support to the Dragonfly, Oronkohiro was contemplating a wardrobe change. What was originally going to be a simple meeting with the Daimyo of a small Clan, was quickly turning into an appearance at court.
With Haste, Oronkohiro headed back to his quarters and began dressing for the Occasion. With such fanfare, He would need a strong pot of Jade petal Tea, and a few rituals to make his appearance more "Courtly".
(OOC) I should probably give a good description of Oronkohiro. Like I said previously, he is taller than the average Rokugan citizen, with long black hair (falls below his shoulder blades).
He looks thin, but has a reasonably athletic build.
He has a simple beard, kept neatly trimmed. His eyes are the only betrayer of the taint that he carries, which is why normally, he is content to wear a large Bamboo Jingasa, which keeps the majority of his face in heavy Shadow.
Through the use of maho, he is able to hide the taint, but it is a simple ruse, noticeable to those trained by the Witch Hunters, Inquisitors, and Hare clan.
Oronkohiro has a tanto that he keeps on him at all times. It seems to be crafted out of the night itself. Only the Hamon seems to be of normal metal composition.
Oronkohiro bears the mark of the Spider at the base of his neck. The tattoo is easily hidden by his hair, but the tattoo is a vibrant green in color, and sudden movements could betray the location of the mark. He bears the mark of Fu Leng in the middle of his chest, The bottom of the mark meets the beginning of the jagged scar from his attempted seppuku. The Top Right of the Mark meets the scar left from his Khadi Ritual.
Normally of a dry disposition, he occasionally makes light of situations with a dark sense of humor.

*Tonbo Tombe looked up from his writing desk and smiled at the young visitor. ‘To be young again’ Tombe thought to himself as his bones creek as he rose from his seat. Taka reminded Tombe of himself, prized student of Kyuden Tonbo with a bright future.
“Konichiwa Taka-san.” Tombe spoke softly and bowed. “It is unfortunate we we’re unable to meet yesterday, and your patience is appreciated. Our Daimyo is of course deeply possessed by his work at the moment rebuilding, and so I have been charged with duties such as this.”
*Tombe smirked ever so slightly, he enjoyed leaving the young and eager man waiting for the purpose of his summoning.* “Our tragedy is great, and we have much rebuilding to do. While our Daimyo sees to the physical structures and finances, a great opportunity is provided to our budding young such as yourself. While normally these tasks are given to those with more…experience.” Tombe reached for a nearby scroll and tapped it gingerly in his hand. “My son these times of challenge decide our future, in strife you’ll find strength, in chaos, courage, in misery motivation…”
*Tombe seemed to trail off for a moment, as if listening to the scroll he tapped in his hand*
“Ah, the ranting of an old man.” Tombe said, barely audible. Then began to speak again with a sudden vigor. “Taka-san, take this scroll, it contains the information you need. Rebuilding our home takes sweat, blood and determination, this we have in plenty. You however must rebuild our alliances. Our allies have been overwhelmingly generous in their support. This will not be over look, but this will also not be charity. Our allies have invested in use, and we will repay them ten-fold, in honor and glory.”
“You have been assigned as an ambassador to the dragon and phoenix clans; our founders and greatest allies. Due to our resources you’ve been given a great task, and I know you won’t disappoint –“ Tombe raised an eyebrow “-less you wish to take on an ambassadorship to the lion.”
Tombe sighed “Alas I have kept you long enough, you’ve much work to do and I will keep you no further. See Hakezo, she will provide you will koku and all other necessary supplies. Report to me directly, and safe travels.”
Tonbo Tombe sat at his desk and lifted his quill once more. Dipping it into the ink he mused to himself ‘a shugenja my training, a courtier by necessity’… he waited for his next guest, he knew it wouldn’t be long.

Yushahime finished her morning meditation, opening her eyes to the calm morning light and enjoying the feeling of lightness that encompassed her after her morning focus. She silently but deftly prepared herself for the day ahead with well practiced movements. It was not long before she was changed into a very presentable kimono, her wakizashi proudly displayed on her side, her hair tied back neatly. She sighed at not being able to wear her hair clip but then wore a secret smile just before she left her room. Everyone had enjoyed the sweets the night before. She'd made those. She shook her head to release her pride, mentally chastising herself. Suddenly the calm from her meditation was no longer with her. She stepped out of her room, alerting her servant to her planned activities for the day, before making her way to her scheduled meeting.
On the way she noticed Taka-sama and bowed to him as politely as she could. He'd been entertaining company, his questions a useful way of reorganising the information in her head into a better state as she answered each of his queries.
After this she hurried along, not wanting to be late. Announcing herself at the gatehouse, she awaited a response while sorting through her message scrolls.

“Kitsuki –sama, welcome” Tonbo Tombe said, bowing deeply. “It is a great honor to have a dragon visitor amoung us. I see you’ve brought even more supplies as well. We are in great debt to your lord and your clan.” Tonbo paused for a moment, “Due to our recent event, there had been a…vacancy concerning the Dragonfly’s presence in Dragon affairs. I’ve assigned Tonbo Taka as an ambassador to your clan and your service, I believe you’ve already met. I’d also like to invite yourself and your lord to our ceremony when Kyuden Tonbo is rebuilt. It is not only our new home, but a sign of an empire united in harmony, something the Dragon can surely appreciate. But enough of my banter, how can I serve you Yushahime-sama.”

Oronkohiro dressed as impeccably as possible. His black Kimono fit much better than his standard Robe. The Green highlights were a fantastic touch, and one that he would most assuredly need to thank the Seamstress for when he returned home. It was both regal, and imposing, yet simple. He tucked his tanto into the folds at the waist, tied his hair, and selected a Scorpion Courtier fan to complete the ensemble. This was one of the few items he maintained from his previous life.
When he was dressed, he went to the table near his bed, and imbided the potion he had made for himself. His eyes immediately took on a slate grey color, and cleared as well. He turned to the closet, and whispered a small incantation to keep the beast inside calm.
On the way out the door, he grabbed a small coin purse from the table. He would purchase a new jingasa on his way to the estate of the Daimyo.
Once at the Daimyo's estate, Oronkorhiro was met my a young Servant.
"Greetings young Dragonfly. I am here to see the most venerable Dragonfly Champion. My name is Oronkohiro. If you would be so kind as to let them know I have arrived."
And with this, Oronkohiro whispered under his breath, and the young Dragonfly left.

(OOC: assuming this is after I meet with Kitsuki Yushahime) *Tonbo could tell by the way this man carried himself he was a shugenja, but sense no kami swirling…perhaps his travel and tasks had tired him more than he’d thought. All the same, the man before him had an aura Tombe couldn’t quite place, and ever so loved a puzzle.
“Good day friend of the dragonfly. Your grab reflects well our current situation indeed, dark with glimmers of hope. Our champion is unavailable, but I assure you I can attend to your every need. What brings you to Kyuden Tonbo traveler?” Tombe asked quizzically.

Me, an ambassador. Me?
* Taka is still in shock. Never in his life he had the opportunity to leave Kyuden Tonbo a now, Tonbo Tombe asked him the be an ambassdor for his clan. Taka walks, no floats, outside the audience room, completely forgetting about that Oronkohiro character. The brave Hakezo meets him and brings him to an adjacent room where he gives him a map of rokugan, a few coins and a pendant. *
This is a token of your position, Taka-sama. You should not need any travelling papers as long as you carry this. Now, go in this room * Hakezo points a soji on his left * and a servant will help you find a proper attire for your new responsabilites.
* Taka nods absently, looking at the pendant still in his hand. Hakezo continues *
My duties call me away, is there anything I could do for you?
No, I think I will be fine.
Good. One last thing before I leave, there is a horse waiting for you at the Champion stable. It's an old mare, no longer useful in the fields, but it can still carry you on the roads. It all the clan can afford at the moment. May the kamis protect you on your travel.
Thank you, Hakezo-sama. * Suddenly remembering * Speaking of travels, there is a mysterious man asking strange questions. He says his name is Oronkohiro and that he is from a former minor clan that has suffered as much as we did. He said he could come meet the Daimyo...
Thank you, Ambassador * Hakezo empases the title *. It's probably another ronin coming here to help. We will deal with him when, or if, he comes here. Don't worry. Now, go chose a new kimono and hurry up, you might be able to join these Dragons before they leave. The roads would be safer with them around than if you travel alone.
* I'm never alone, I have the kamis, Taka thinks. Bowing, he leaves the room, allowing hakezo to return to his others tasks. A few minutes later, Taka exits the premises, walking to the stables, when he notices the thirty Dragons accompanying Kitsuki Yushahime. The Investigator is nowhere to be seen. Taka approaches and asks the leader of the group, a gunso, if they intend to leave once the Magistrate has spoken to Tonbo Tombe *
We don't know yet, but I would guess that is highly possible.
In that case, I will hurry. I must retrieve a few things, before leaving. If she does not mind, I would like the permission to travel to the Dragon lands with you.
I don't know what is our next destination, Tonbo-san... * He notices the pendant * ...sorry, Tonbo-sama. If you are not back from your errands, I will mention this to Kitsuki-sama when she comes out.
Thank you, Dragon-san. I will be back shortly.
* Taka runs to the stables *

ooc: Apologies for the delay. A somewhat hectic but good day today so I'm running behind
IC: "Tombe-sama, my thanks on behalf of my Clan and myself for so kindly welcoming me and allowing this meeting. You are most welcome in regards to the supplies we promised you and with all our help thus far. We can only regret that we can not assist even further and would like nothing more than to have your territories fully rebuilt, strong and splendid once again. There is no debt owed. Part of the way of bushido is compassion after all and you have done much for the Empire in your history. It is only right those within the Empire return that favour in your time of need"
Yushahime bows politely before Tombe-sama continued.
"Ah, that is most excellent. I believe Taka-san will make the Dragonfly proud in this new responsibility you have assigned him. As for an invite to the official ceremony... that is truly a great honour. I would be delighted to accept but must decline for such an honour is surely above me (ooc: can we skip the two refusals and assume this all goes well?)"
Yushahime nods at Tombe-sama's words "yes, the Dragon can surely find comfort and strength in the Empire uniting together and in the pursuit of harmony. We will fully support any efforts towards this. I am glad to hear you say these words as this matter is the one that best serves my Clan. I merely wished to formally introduce myself and make certain that you were aware of our commitment to you as our cousins. We offer you our blessings and aid should you need it. All we ask in return is that you continue to pursue the noble goals you have just highlighted. In this our four strong families are united and we hope you can see fit to further the power of that bond of shared direction"

(OOC: No worries Yushahine, I’ll only be on to update once a night myself. As for the two refusals, I certainly thing that’s a fair assumption.)
Tombe smiled at the Kitsuki “You speak eloquently Yushahime. I thank you for your company, but I fear I have far duller duties I much attend to. I have but one request, if you’d be so kind to endure a small burden... Tonbo Taka is unfamiliar with the world outside Kyuden Tonbo, and traveling with you to dragon lands would be both an excellent learning opportunity and chance for Taka-san to improve his diplomacy stills with someone as well spoken as yourself.”
*Tombe waited for Yushahine’s response*
“Safe travels friend, may the kami guide you.”
