Shiro Ichiro
Ichiro Kojuri, the Badger Clan Champion, in his rare moments of reverie.
As I sit on this chair reserved only for the Badger Clan champion, I was wondering if the clan changes it to accommodate the size for the one sitting on it. It affords little room for movement. I guess I was born bigger than normal than my fellow Badgers or am I just gaining a little more bulk. I was going to burst into laughter just pondering on these thoughts but opted not to.
The audience chamber is almost bare, serve for very few trappings that we call luxury. I think it's too gray and earth color, since the castle was partly carved from the mountain itself. I looked at it more as a warrior's arena due to its tone.
My men now rest within the protection of the castle walls. I know anytime soon they will be roused again to battle those damnable yobanjin skirmishing within our borders. They must be doing this to find a weakness in our defenses but we will never falter.
I wonder what happened to my motion for the Minor Clan Alliance to join forces and support Kaneka's campaign to repel the Yobanjin threat? I hope the next time I look over the horizon, I will see the combined banners of the minor clans rallying to support the shogun.
Wait! in the corner of my eye. The shadow moved. Not even the littlest chameleon can escape detection within these walls that I call home but it was more like a dark solid mist. Maybe it did not noticed but I knew it moved again even closer, for I remained calm and showed oblivious to its presence. It was now close. Within striking range. No sound the shadow made. The air around it was not disturbed. It absorbed all the light in its area. My grandfather's katana strike true at its target.
