Naetaru had been here for about a week, observing the transformation of this very room complex. The Crane had arranged for the Crane Embassy to be housed in an old spice warehouse at the rich districts of the city. They offered much concerning the quality of the adornments and decor. It was a room complex, with private quarters with mahogany-paneled walls. The front rooms were adorned with ibiscus flowers and in the air lingered the fragrance of lavender. He had a great paperwork labour to look into. He was also expecting her visit, sooner or later...

The next day...
Naetaru had some parchments and scrolls crammed up over his desk. He was reading in a frantic manner across the lines. A faint grin on his face. By the time he settled in the embassy, he thought that he would have to deal with Scorpions all the time. Yet, none officially had visited...a more worrying thing... He glanced over the round window on the left side of the room. What his eyes saw however, were not the vast greens and gardens of the Doji plains, but mere carriages and marketeers moving from the rich district of the town to the others. As he resumed back to his work, a messenger came and quickly handed him over a scroll. It seems that the battle at the Unicorn lands was over. The gaijin invasion had been averted. At what his eyes shone though, was the name of the general responsible, Daidoji Fitsu. The Fitsu of the Crane... Smiling now, he stood up and beckoned over his servant. His work could wait for a day or two. He now needed to arrange some work. And thus, he quickly dispatched a couple of messages...

Just as the last letter has been written, Naetaru’s servant approaches to inform his master that he has a visitor.
The Servant then shows into the room a rather lean Scorpion, who moves with the grace of a dancer, wearing the robes of a courtier. However, on closer inspection, Naetaru notes that the sword at the man’s side is not there for display, and has seen frequent use.
The man speaks with quiet confidence, and a soft smile on his lips, visible below his mask.
‘Greetings Naetaru-sama. I must humbly apologise for keeping you waiting. I was unfortunately withheld from my duties in Ryoko Owari. Some minor trouble with brigands in the nearby rivers. I assure you that I am now most humbly and completely at your service.
If I may introduce myself, I am Bayushi Sasori. A humble servant of the Scorpion clan, and local Magistrate.
I have been honoured with the task of liaising with you as ambassador of the honoured Crane clan. Bayushi Senshi-Sama himself has requested that I ensure that you want for nothing, and that I do my utmost to help you carry your duties.
I may also add, that I am to act as guide to this fair city of Ryoko Owari. I am to ensure that whatever you require or request, your needs and wants are fulfilled. I can assure you, that there is nothing that you could require that this fair city cannot provide. My own mother, who was born Kakita, grew to love this city as her own, and I can but wish that you will come to enjoy your time here.’

Naetaru's eyes gleam by the time Bayushi Sasori introduces himself.
"Bayushi Sasori-sama, I am honored by your visit. Please be sited if you may. Senshi-sama was most thoughtful indeed, to have sent a magistrate such as yourself in the embassy. Allow me, would you desire orange-cinnamon tea or the common yet magnificent jasmine one? I understand that you have some heavy duties in the day, but I would marvel if you drank a tea with me. I assure you that I won't occupy much of your time.
Smiling politely, Naetaru's manner seem not to intrude, distort or even hide something. He was not a cunning individual, for as his mother instructed him, determination and directness were much more valuable virtues in life.
It is a blessing indeed to have paid a visit just by the moment I was informed of our glorious victory over the yobanjin tribes. Rokugan raises its honorable head once more! I have heard that Daidoji Fitsu-sama was the general behind the whole strategic endeavour, is it not? Such a praised man
He nods in respect. He seems respectful to the man of the army, and he also shows the same respect to the man of the law.
