JUNKO Age: 18 Height: 5'3" Weight: 108lbs Hair: Black, long School: Shinjo Scout Family: Unknown
Appearance: Junko is an attractive woman but life on the road and her sour expression mean many don't see it. She wears simple undyed kimono and wears her hair in an efficient ponytail. She is rarely seen without her weapons or a flask of sake.
Background: Shinjo Junko was a young Shinjo samurai in the service of a Moto officer. While she experienced the stigma of the Shinjo family she had a bright service ahead of her. Many commented on her skill and loyalty. But her daimyo wanted more of that. He wanted her body. He was married but despite that, one night in his tent, he made advances on her. She fought him off and fled.
Junko was an honorable woman but she had to face her accuser. She went to her lord's lord. This man, a senior Moto Daimyo, heard them both. He chastised his inferior for refusing to control himself but then chastised Junko. She should have endured for the good of the Clan, he said. Because she had not struck her lord and had not tried to escape shame she would be allowed to leave the Clan as a Ronin, but with her equipment and with good will.
Since then Junko has made the best of life as a Ronin. He rskills as a scout have been in some demand from merchants who need wardens against bandits. She has also helped peasants near Dragon Guard City defend themselves against Bloodspeakers and acted as a caravan guard, to the Hare Clan and even to the her former Clan in Outsider Keep. Recently she entered the service of a Daidoji officer needing assistance in fighting the Lion in Toshi Ranbo. Herself, she doesn't care who the Emperor is, she almost doesn't feel part of the Empire, but she knows she needs to eat and she is a warrior first, so she fights where she is told to fight.
After being captured by pro-Toturi forces in Toshi Ranbo's fall she has sworn loyalty to the Shogun and now serves under the command of Bayushi Haruka.

[OOC] From Here: Clicky! [/OOC] The ningyo curse that Yun had undergone had left him ever-living; however, it had an unforseen side effect. He now had to ingest fresh blood in much the same way that one has to ingest food and drink. Elsewhere in the empire, a man whom Yun had more than a year of interaction with had set out from the Phoenix lands. Shiba Bokuen, who had been trained alongside Yun to be his personal Yojimbo after they both had graduated from their respective schools had been given a duty to hunt down the former Isawa and bring him in to face justice for his crimes. The Phoenix had been aware for some time that Yun had turned to Maho as a source of power in his madness and this was something that they could not tolerate. Too many Phoenix had turned this way, but no longer. Bokuen traversed the empire following the leads that the inquisitors had given him until he eventually came across a village in Crab lands that was said to be plagued by a Kyonshi. Several villagers had already died and Bokuen could not leave without attempting to help them. From the information he was able to gather, he tracked the monster to it's lair; a cave on the edge of the forest that bordered the village. Inside, Bokuen was surprised to find several books detailing practices of maho, several spell scrolls, and implements used for cutting into flesh and experimenting; he also found the grisly remains of some of the aforementioned dead villagers. He continued his journey into the cave and inside he found Yun. Not the last person he had expected to find, but certainly close; Yun was equally surprised. After Yun and Bokuen had exchanged words for several minutes, which had erupted into a screaming match, Bokuen drew his sword; an act that declared his intentions were set and there was no dissuading him. Yun pulled forth a spellscroll, and there was no turning back. The scroll that Yun had drawn forward was Armor of the Emperor, and soon his body was covered from head to toe in a rocky armor that glowed with a emerald green light. Bokuen charged forward and slashed again and again at Yun, seemingly doing no damage to him what-so-ever. Yun, on the other hand, parted his hand with a knife and enacted a maho spell; inside Shiba Bokuen's chest, his left lung collapsed. The sudden shift in his breathing had thrown off his tempo, and he dropped to one knee. Yun took a moment to mock him and that was when he made his last desperate move. Somewhere in every samurai's soul there is that one moment when you draw on the strength of your ancestors to help you. Shiba Bokuen, having thus far not been able to damage Yun in any way found this strength, and with one mighty stroke upwards with his katana, he had managed to carve through the armor. The helmet that the armor had given Yun shattered as his stroke cut into Yun's face. Blood ran out rather profusely and Yun screamed and cursed him. Shiba Bokuen fell to the ground from the momentum. He tried to force himself back up, but the oxygen he was lacking was not helping him. Yun kicked him as hard as he could, with the rocky armor surrounding his foot, in the chest and he rolled away in pain letting go of his weapon. In the roll, he had bumped one of the few braziers that Yun had in here providing light and it fell onto the Shiba's face. And it burned him terribly. Yun stalked over, carefully scooping up the Shiba's katana as he advanced, slowly, like a tiger approaching prey that was already dead. He laughed as he plunged the sword down into Bokuen's chest. Severing his soul from his body. Then Yun went back and tended to his wound; but no matter the magic that Yun used, the scar would not vanish, even though the damage had been healed.

Age: 35 Height: 6'1 Weight: 168 Hair: short black, has a goatee
Personality: Quarim is used to getting what he wants and is very arrogant because of it. He is a servant of many different people and doesn't forget his station however. He sees every opportunity and encounter as a way to gain something for one of his masters. He is very laid back and flirtatious. On the occasions that he does get serious it's often because trouble is near.
Background: Quarim seemed to come from nowhere at a young age serving a very minor family among the Houses of Dahab. Quickly his family began amassing large amount of money from unknown sources. Many suspected illegal activity but none could be found. Quarim himself expressed interest in the Qolat and was quickly recruited. Eventually he assumed control of all monetary control of his family's wealth and quickly used it to capture as much political power as possible. Quarim bribed and manipulated enough people to be chosen to lead the trade expedition to Rokugan although no one knows why. Quarim finds himself now splitting his interests between his several masters and his own personal goals.

Post by Isawa Mitsuru on Dec 17, 2011 19:22:46 GMT -5
Name: Isawa Mitsuru Clan: Phoenix Occupation: Void Shugenja Mitsuru is the unmistakable product of a very traditional family. His mother and father are both Isawa Shugenja who were married in a politically advantageous betrothal for both sides of the agreement. Even though his mother actively studies in the home library, she is a dutiful housekeeper and overseer of the family estate. His father, Kenta, is a thaumatological researcher in the Isawa libraries. Given that, both parents are possessed of the gift to speak with the kami it was not entirely surprising when the family was visited by the shugenja Gomaru shortly after Mitsuru's birth. What was more surprising was the preparatory void rituals that Gomaru performed during his initial visit. Mitsuru was raised with the expectation of fulfilling his duty to the phoenix clan by becoming an Ishi shugenja. Froma young age he was taught that his gifts were special and rare, even among Rokugan's priests, but that he was still equally responsible to be an honorable member of his family and clan. There is no difference in the parental pride shown for Mitsuru's accomplishments and those of his younger sister, Aramine, who walks the Path of Earth. Mitsuru was trained by his sensei to believe in the infinite capabilities of magic. Gomaru instilled in his pupil the ideal of ultimate arcane strength and the efficacy and difficulty of gaining said power. Mitsuru took these lessons to heart and strives after ever greater mystic understanding. Only recently has Mitsuru undergone his genpukku ritual and become an adult. After so many years spent under the careful guidance of parents, relatives and teachers, Mitsuru feels flung suddenly out into the world with less direction than he would have liked. He hopes to achieve the greatness that his master spoke of, or the honor that his parents taught him, but he is as of yet unsure just how to go about doing it. Therefore, he falls back on his sense of propriety. Mitsuru is very polite and ordered. He is loathe to be overly assertive, especially with his superiors and is often willing to defer to the more experienced voice in any given matter. Deep down, Mitsuru holds a world of potential. He is more skilled in the magical arts than he knows and is blessed with an innate sixth sight that allows him to naturally be aware of living beings in a 360 degree range of view. He wants to be accepted by those he meets but is cut off from them by the rigidity of Rokugani culture. If he were to open up and find more confidence he would make great strides in his life and studies. In many ways he is still a child, more than a little afraid of becoming an adult. ![](http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj230/aedo-sama/isawamitsuru.jpg)

![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v489/Zeure/Avatars/Kakita_Hideo.jpg) Name: Kakita Battou Age: 18 Height: 5'9 Weight: 185 lbs Hair: Long and white, obviously well maintained. Occupation: Kakita Duelist and Artisan Parents: Doji Hironobu and Kakita Atsumei A list of character inspirations will follow the backstory. Battou is a samurai of impressive lineage and skill; however he does have one distinct flaw: he is sexy and he knows it. Always seen as a rebel of the samurai hierarchy, it is a wonder that he has a position at all in the clans affairs, however, with skilled samurai quickly dwindling and he a master of more than one of the fields that the Kakita hold sacred he has secured for himself a good position. He is one of the people who is granted with the secret of forging Kakita Blades. Which, you can imagine is rather prestigious. This appointment has done nothing to slow him down on his hedonistic attitudes. Not taking anything to excess, but indulging in any of lifes pleasures, most especially the company of fine women. And anyone unfortunate enough to catch him in the act has to deal with his sword arm, which is just as impressive. So appointed, he also, himself wields a thing of his crafting; a Kakita Blade shimmering with blue light as they all do. It was the second thing he crafted in those mountains above Kyuden Doji, and his craft is the one thing he takes incredibly seriously. He has met and is good friends with Kakita Sojiro, and he is aquainted with Kakita Mitsouko, though they have less of a history together. He is part of the movement often referred to as "The New Crane", a group of (mostly) Kakita who are tired with the clans image as posh nobles who are not able to deal with the harsher elements of life. He, along with these others, has dedicated himself to the changing of this image. Toku Shouri is a youthful and energetic Samurai with a slightly crocked smile. He is of slightly shorter than average height, but it is hard to tell unless one is close to him. His dark hair is usually pulled into a tail, and he remains clean shaven, not that what passes for his facial hair would be very noticeable if he wasn't. His eyes are warm, almost amber in colour, and tend to sparkle with enthusiasm. He is still getting used to wearing a public face, and it sometimes takes great and obvious effort for him to seem serious and cold as is appropriate in public for an aspiring yoriki. His equipment is plain, and care-worn, but also very well maintained.

Name - Akodo Sosa Clan - Lion Family - Akodo School - Akodo Bushi/Akodo War College
Akodo Sosa stands at an average height of 5'8", with an athletic build. Physically, he has a proud bearing, looking very much the typical Lion Bushi. Whilst not overly extravangant, his armour and equipment are of a high quality and kept in prime condition. The state of a samurai's belongings reflect the state of his soul, after all. His manner can, at times, be quite gruff and serious, perhaps even considered almost arrogant by those who do not know him, but there is always a sparkle of good humour in his eyes, and to his friends (or in relaxed surroundings) he turns out to be good natured and friendly. Trained at the Akodo War College, Sosa understands his role in his Clan. His place is to follow the orders of his Daimyo, and to pass those order down the chain of command to esnure the Lion are not only victorious in every battle, but that they fulfill the tenets of Bushido in that victory.

Name: Horiuchi Yuiren School: Horiuchi Shugenja Age: by looks: surely under 20 Hair: light brown, in a ponytail or a bun, with bangs. Eyes: green Appearance: It's easy to distinguish her from rokugani crowd. Her hair might not be as special as red or blonde, but still are unusual. She's not very tall, but a little taller than average. Also, there are two things she always, always keeps by her side: a katana, sealed in saya, and a lit paper lantern. She is wearing violet and purple clothes, as a Unicorn Clan member. Her favourite colour is red, so she always has a red element in her clothing. She also fancies scarfs, so she wears one, when she doesn't need to be too official. Last but not least, she's usually riding a horse. Of course! Personality: She usually is quite cheerful and careless, but if she has to be official, she instead becomes very tense. In a casual conversation, she likes to ask questions, and make riddles. She's quite brave, however not necessarily honorable. She is sensible to beauty of nature and architecture, a little artistic. She enjoys painting. Yuiren was sheltered most of her life, and it can be easily observed. Short history: Until age of 10, Yui has lived as a Dragon Clan child, from Mirumoto family. She didn't really show talent in swordfight nor tactisc, so it became quite obvious she'd become a bride. However, the Fortunes chose other way for her. She didn't really know why, for she was too young to understand, but one day a lady in purple and violet robes came, and soon after she'd become a part of Horiuchi family. (Let me show you the situation from the parents side - 6 childeren, 4 daughters, and not too much money... you too would gladly give one of those daughters to a far relative. Even a very far relative from a different Clan.) So, young Yui was taken from Dragon lands. She missed her family, but soon has got used to new home. Yui didn't show any true talent in magic, she had a small gift however, and this was enough to get her trained in shugenja school. To meet the expectations of being "relative to Horiuchi Shoan" she worked hard and learned all the spells by heart. Probably good memory is the only talent she has. Few months after gempukku she was given a sword of her Mirumoto ancestors. Why would she, of all, be the one to inherit it? Weell. The sword is cursed. Inspired by Isawa Mitsuru, I, too, have made a picture of my charater ^^; (forgive me this lousy background) ![](http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/010/c/2/horiuchi_yuiren_by_gafi-d4lytc5.jpg)

Kitsu Hiraku

Sodan-senzo * Loyal to the Emperor

Post by Kitsu Hiraku on Jan 12, 2012 14:13:49 GMT -5
Name: Kitsu Hiraku Age: 20 Notable achievements: Sodan senzo History: From the moment Hiraku was born he was treated with special care not only by his parents but by the whole clan. He was special, a rare child that exhibited the pure blood of his ancestors. This was a surprise, as his parents were of mediocre skill when it came to speaking with spirits of the dead. Even though he was looked after by everyone his life wasn't easy. He was always supposed to be better than his peers and to train hard so he could one day become one of the famous Sodan Senzo. And so he did. He wanted to be perfect because everyone else wanted him to be like that. That is why after his gempukku he cut himself off from the mortal world. He no longer cared about anything other than his education. He stopped meeting people other than those necessary for studying and sustaining himself. He didn't practice anything unless it helped him contact with the spirits. Thanks to that he proved to be skillful enough to join the Sodan Senzo. After joining the famous group his life didn't change much. Of course he was called upon for his service but other than that he spent all of his time in the Tombs as he didn't knew life outside of them. All of that changed when the conflict in the land of the unicorn started. With the champion of the clan himself taking part in the fight every lion was expected to join. Hiraku felt he wasn't an exception and he did. The life outside was very different from what he knew and he had to learn about it fast. He had to meet with others and play the court games. He had to endure the hardship of the battlefield and fight for his life. He killed and watched his brothers in battle die. Then the conflict between Kaneka and the Emperor began. The choice was hard for every samurai as they had to be loyal to both but the Kitsu had it even worse as they had to listen to the spirits as well. Hiraku himself ended up in opposition to the most of the clan. This didn't mean he did not fight for his clan or support them in courts outside of the Lion lands. He wouldn't betray his clan and he always supported it but during every dispute he always spoke for the Emperor. For that reason he made a few enemies in the clan but none would harm him as they knew he spoke not only for himself but also for the ancestors. Personality: Hiraku is a quiet person that dislikes the company of others. He prefers the company of scrolls and spirits. He is very careful when it comes to expressing his thoughts and feelings which he rarely does. He isn't a hero and is to crack under pressure. When in conflict he prefers to end it peacefully, even if it means putting himself in a disadvantage. He is extremely loyal to his clan and family. He changes quite a lot when surrounded only by other Lions. He shows that he is a cheerful young man and is not afraid to speak his opinions, even if it puts him in trouble. Appearance: Hiraku often confuses people he meets for the first time due to his androgynous looks. His soft voice or choice of clothing doesn't help much in that matter. He always carries a bag, in which a kitsu mask and few scrolls are hidden, and a small fan.

(I suppose I should update this!)
Name: Takezo Age: 39 Notable Accomplishments: many...
Takezo is very tall for a Rokugani - six feet and an inch - and very lean and wiry. Wide of shoulder, he conveys a sense of ranginess rather than lank, lending him a reach which is notable (and perhaps infamous) among duelists. Muscular but not bulky, Takezo has a hard quality too him, as though he were carved from wood, an effect intensified by his darkness of complexion, hallmark of an early life of wandering in the remote outlands of the world.
Takezo is not a beautiful man; he has an intense presence, which some view as handsome in the dangerous, vulpine sense of the word. He is famed for his unnerving, penetrating gaze, his deep-set eyes often likened to those of a bird of prey. Rarely smiling, his mouth is set in a frown more unhappy than cruel. He wears a short-cropped full beard, heavily silvered now, his greying hair pulled back severely in a loose topknot.
Now ronin, Takezo dresses in simple but well-made, practical attire. He eschews adornment and luxury, preferring convenience and efficiency in both his kit and life; a man who has chosen a complicated destiny, Takezo simplifies when and where he can. The exceptions are his scabbards, exquisitely crafted, and the gleaming, lethal beauty of his swords.
Takezo, now, conveys a sense of weariness when at leisure; in battle, he remains uncanny in his speed, agility and strength. In his youth, hubris led him to declare himself "the most dangerous man in Rokugan"; experience has humbled him, and while he trusts in his physical, spiritual and martial abilities to face any challenge, he is keenly aware of his mortality: he has lost so many of his loved ones, some by his own hand.
Takezo remains unshakeable in the confidence that he has chosen the right path, but he knows that his path is a sacrificial one. He knows it is very likely that death is at hand; he does not expect to feel the cool winds of his mountain home again.
His dreams are not peaceful.

Post by Shokuma on Jan 30, 2012 19:14:09 GMT -5
I have been inspired by Keisuke's incredible card to reveal that which I have kept hidden. Appearance: Shokuma is petite, even among the women of the Crane. She is delicate of feature and has eyes of deep indigo-blue. While her shoulder-length hair is the traditional white favoured by the clan, observant persons soon note that Shokuma's hair is not an affectation of bleaching - she and her twin have been white-haired since their fourth winter (seen by many as an omen, as the number 4 is often associated with death). Shokuma is almost never seen in armour. While some whisper that this is a statment of her prowess as a duellist and her pride in it, the simple truth is that her small stature makes her feel like a child playing dress-up, or an over-grown doll. Instead she favours simply cut, but fine quality kimono, all of which bear the mon of her family on the left breast, the emblem of the Emerald Magistrates on her right sleeve and two smaller mons just below that, personal mons belonging to a Dragon and a Lion. Past history: Born the younger of two twin daughters to Doji Masashi, a minor provincial governor, and Kakita Suzako. The twins, Shokuma and Shigomi were difficult children, unwilling to be parted and prone to shutting out the world around them. Because of this undesirable introversion, the family deliberately set the two on different paths when they became old enough to begin training - Shokuma as courtier and Shigomi as an artisan - even so it was some time before their tutors were able to get them to stop having "private conversations" with their absent twin. Two years after her gempukku, Shokuma's father died and her older brother Akoyo (11 years the twins' senior) inheritied his mantle. As soon as the proper mourning period was over, he made arrangements for Shigomi to make a marriage match among the Mantis (a young nobleman of the Tsuruchi). After her sister's marriage, Shokuma became withdrawn and brooding, prone to spending much time alone. During the bleak months of winter when the court was trapped indoors by the harsh weather, Shokuma turned more and more to drinking sake and avoiding all company. The rapidly descending spiral that had become her life came to an abrupt halt one spring day when most of the court had been engaged in far flung pursuits of hunting or gathering the early flowers. Local peasants brought Shokuma back to the court in the early evening, comatose and near-drowned, and they told a story of how they had pulled her and a young Scorpion man (who was dead from savage sword-wounds) from the river. When the healers determined that the convalescence from her ordeal would be a long one, it was decided that Shokuma would be best under her sister's care, where their empathic bond would hopefully also draw out the madness that was destroying her from within. The family was a little concerned however, that the messages from Shigomi soon after her sister's safe arrival advised that Shigomi was newly carrying her first child, and was thus glad of her sister's presence, no matter how injured and in despair. Shokuma recovered strongly in the home of her sister, and once physically restored, she entered a period of seclusion at a local shrine to contemplate the path of her life and where it had gone wrong, visited only by her sister for a single day each month, which they spent together in prayer for the safe birth of Shigomi's child. Shokuma returned from her seclusion soon after her nephew's birth. She was still quiet and brooding, but once again in command of herself and full of purpose. She explained to her superiors that a life of constant peace had been eating away at her will, poisoning her purpose and her perceptions, and that a life of less genteel duty would elicit far better performance. Her superiors debated the problem, and not wishing to entirely remove Shokuma from the courts where her existing training could be applied, sent her to be tested by the Kakita masters, seeking one who could be intuitively at the beck and call of courtiers when they needed the power of cold steel. Shokuma exceeded the expectations of the Kakita sensei, showing far more knowledge and skill than an untrained courtier should possess of the duelist's art, and more, she found serenity in the grace of the kata, decisiveness in the clash of combat. Service: Shokuma was in Ryoko Owari when the death of a second Emerald Magistrate within the space of a single year threw that august office into turmoil. Rather than present the unknown murderers with a single target, a small group of younger samurai, verifiably known not to be involved with any of the cities criminal organisations, was selected to investigate the deaths and deal with some of the more mundane duties of the Magistrate. Unknown to anyone outside of the chosen group, they were actually operating as yoriki to a true Magistrate who remained hidden from public awareness. Over the course of the next two years, the group were not only able to apprehend the murderers, but also reduce the overall crime within the city (the Opium cartels, unfortuantely, were left unscathed). However, the death of the Unicorn Battle-maiden among their number and the Scorpion's withdrawal of their courtier, the remaining three samurai were summoned to the headquarters of the Emerald Magistrates to make a full report on their activities. RPG Traits: Inner Gift, Kharmic Tie (twin sister), Voice. Small, Dark Secret Companions/Allies: Mirumoto Ryu, a renowned duellist with an sensitivity to magic and an inability to lie. Matsu Hishoda, Akodo trained tactician who constantly seeks to prove that he is the equal (or better) of the female Matsu who disdain him. Both are presumed to have died at the battle for Permission City. Theme songs: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yc8iP8CSdRcwww.youtube.com/watch?v=y0e7GjoWftE

Ashidaka Kaemon: Kaemon is an older, grizzled member of the Ashidaka family. He started his life as a ronin of the East Wind and met Kakita Shinoburo during one of the many skirmishes between the Lion and the Crane clan. The two men were fast friends, Kaemon's more practical, grounded nature giving some balance to the womanizing and freewheeling Shinoburo. It was during one of Shinoburo's trips home that Kaemon was introduced to his future wife, Ashidaka Hotaru. Shinoburo had intended to find a suitable wife to marry Kaemon into the Crane clan due to his exceptional bravery during battle, and the two connected to each other very quickly - quite the contrast with Shinoburo's marriage. Although Kaemon was never blessed with children, he took to Shinoburo's daughter Mitsouko like an uncle, and has occasionally served as her yojimbo from time to time when her duties have taken her abroad. His former life as a ronin of the East Wind has led to him being an accomplished rider as well as a wise traveling companion, and his grey hair and crow's feet have done nothing to slow the man down. During one particularly fierce battle, Kaemon and Shinoburo found themselves behind Lion lines, and Kaemon lost his right eye that day making certain that he and Shinoburo made it back to safety. It was that act that caused Shinoburo offer him a place in the Crane clan. See him here: www.tektek.org/avatar/48165448

Name: Moto Thrakhath School: Moto Bushi Age: 19 Hair: Black Eyes: Dark brown, almost black.
Appearance: Thrakhath's Moto heritage is obvious to anyone who knows anything about the family. He has the hooded eyes, squashed nose, and heavyset face that are typical of the Ujik-hai. He keeps a full beard that varies in length depending on the season. The physical trait that stounds out most, however, is his size: Thrakhath is easily a head taller than almost everyone he meets, leading some to speculate that there may be a Hida in his ancestry, despite the extreme unlikelihood of such a notion. His garb is typical of his clan, although he favors full-body armor rather than the riding armor typical of his clan mates.
Background: Born a second-generation Rokugani, his grandparents having lived on the plains of the Burning Sands, Thrakhath early life in the Unicorn Clan was a turbulent one. He spent most of his childhood wandering the plains of northern Rokugan. His grandfather had ridden off with Moto Tsume to war against the Shadowlands, and when he was very young his father left to join the unending war in the hopes of redeeming his line; neither of them returned. Young Thrakhath was raised by his mother and grandmother. who may have been a little overprotective of him in light of what happened to his father and grandfather. He made the best of his situation by practicing with a toy sword and strumming at a lute left by his father. Other than that, his childhood was fairly typical, and his gempukku came and went without incident.
Despite his fairly common upbringing, there was something unusual about Thrakhath, though the boy did his best to hide it from those around him. He was haunted by recurring dreams. In them he always sees something similar; a dark figure wearing Unicorn furs standing before a huge army of twisted creatures and corrupted samurai, rallying them toward some terrible purpose. On many occasions he would be found by his mother flailing in his sleep, and once he even woke up screaming, but he never discussed the details of his dreams with anyone.
Current Position: After his gempukku, Thrakhath asked for an assignment with a detachment of Moto being sent to help reinforce the Crab on the northern portion of the Wall, and his request was granted. When asked why he would request such a dangerous assignment, Thrakhath expressed an interest in traveling Rokugan and learning all he could about the enemies he might one day face, within the Empire as well as without. His real motive he kept hidden, however. His dreams did not go away when he came of age, and he wanted to witness the setting of his nightmare firsthand. He was convinced that the dark figure in his dreams was one of his ancestors; perhaps finding and destroying him would put an end to his dreams once and for all.
