A Dragon army has crossed into the Lion provinces, where they are probing the defenses around the Castle of the Swift Sword.

Kaneka has the stealthiest army ever. No word that they ever left Shiro Shinjo, yet now they are 2 provinces closer to the Lion and the Capital.

Take your time, Dragon. We're in no rush, here. You'll likely find a prepared, hardened military fortress to be a slightly tougher nut to crack than the outpost that the Emerald Champion rolled. And pay no attention to that whole other army breathing down the back of your neck. Can we keep this kind of trash talk and bragging to a minimum, please? It doesn't really serve any purpose except to inflame feelings even when it's relatively civil.

With all due respect, things haven't been civil on these forums since this blasted war started. It's been posturing and insults as far as the eye can see and I feel my own was pretty tame by the standard that's been set of late, by a few people in particular. But you have a point. The post has been removed. Hopefully others can keep a civil tongue as well and we can get back to something approaching the courteous dialogue we once had here.

This is the 2nd time Kaneka's movements have not been reported. If his army consists solely of ninja (which is the only way no one could have noticed) he surely deserves to be crushed under the boot heel of loyal, honorable samurai for using such disgustingly, dishonorable tactics.

Ryumon, Kenzo - behave.
I also wonder how come Kaneka's army is moving without anyone noticing it... Well yes, they move on our (Unicorn) land... but we do not kill all spies... or people that could notice it. Or I am not that well informed as I've wanted to be.

Not trying to drag things on, but Ryumon, although blunt, is correct in this case. We would all be better off if we avoided the empty boasts (accusations or whatever) and threads with provocations about what no one can be sure.
As I've said before, our characters are at war, we are not. And if people don't know how to deal with friendly provocations (mainly because we aren't all friends here and it's hard to know these things in the internet), we would be better without them. I can perfectly understand this kind of provocation IC, but, please, let's all try to avoid it in the News.
About the News themselves, finally the armies are on the move. Although I agree that Kaneka's army is moving faster than other armies (Crab has been in LSC for ages now and TR fell before the Phoenix arrived), I doubt it is moving undetected. Jay will probably use the same "scouting report" missions to detect it when it starts attacking the Dragon. I just hope the Dragon armies are able to see it before positioning themselves between the Lion remnants and Kaneka's full force, that would be an incredible mistake.

Kasumi, well, I am in your lands, know where Toturi's army is and making sure no Hantei supporter will know that too before it is too late. Now it is too late since Dragon Hantei Army has passed the river - river which Toturi soon secure and cut off lines of supply and trap DHA during the siege.

LOL, I agree with you Shigekazu, this is a jarring strategical mistake. I can't believe the Dragon's armies just willingly trapped themselves between two enemy forces ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Dragon Army should definietly stay in the mountains and pose threat to the Toturi's flank. But some fools decided to descend. Now they are trapped without supplies - both roads and river will be blockaded by Toturi's forces and since mountainous Dragon does not have a lot of cavalry (and Unicorn has it a lot) any pillaging will be difficult too. So what they are going to do now? Quickly seize the city when so experienced in sieges Crab need so much time? Move back and be attacked during passing river?

Well, I disagree that the Dragon should have stayed in the mountains (mainly because nothing can assure there would be an option for it to attack later). Looking at it now, I think if it had descended over the Unicorn it would have caught Kaneka on the road. But it's too late for that now.
Currently the Dragon is probing the Lion's defenses with skirmishers and Kaneka still hasn't arrived in the river. If the Dragon army notices its own complicated position before the main forces engage, it's possible for them to deal with this situation. Otherwise, I think the Dragon will have a very hard battle in its hands, very soon, and may even be taken out of the war because of it.
EDIT: I've just noticed the Know the Terrain. Thanks a LOT Jay! ;D
