I've been playing the game for a little more than a month now and I find it fantastic (Thanks Alison & Jay). I'm starting this thread so we could put all our ideas/suggestions on how to improve an already great game. Here are a few, in no particular order, that I thought of:

Note these are only suggestions, not complaints. I like the game the way it is but from the changes I noticed since I've started, I guess that Alison and Jay are always trying to improve it, so I'm only supplying ideas.
Please note that english isn't my primary language (french is) and I don't want to be perceived as a nitpicker. Thanks for your understanding.
User Interface:
- Named outfits, and possibly display that name to the right of the current location in the header section. Once an item of an outfit is unequiped/replaced, the name would disapear indicating that a save (or restore) is needed.

Sorted Inventory list - If a skill filter is specified, list the item in descending order of bonusesDONE : rokuganee.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=news&thread=144 - Saving locations - the same way we can now save outfits, it would be a nice feature to be able yo save locations. I would suggest as many as the character has rank in Water (since it determine movement rate in the RPG). The first Location [1] would always be the starting location of the character.

Ranking - like in the WC or Topaz championship trials, when consulting the Champion page, it would be nice/informative to know our current rank within our clanDONE : rokuganee.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=news&action=display&thread=281
Ancestors:
- Could be gained by a storyline involving the Kitsu magic
- Could be restricted to families of the player's clan - the player could gain each one of them (complete the mission) but once one is selected, the choice would be final.
- The ancestor "slot" would react diffrently - once an ancestor is selected, it is automaticaly assigned to ALL outfits an cannot be unequipped
- Ancestor bonus could be to assign a fifth "favored" skill to a character. Since the XP to skill point ratio of existing favored skill is 2:1, half of XP spent on that skill (rounded up) would revert to unspent XP when an Ancestor would be selected.
Storylines / Items:
- Imperial Spouse - Taking one would permanently give a Miya, Otomo or Seppun name to a player! A separate ranking in the Champion page for these would be needed. This could become an option to seppuku to retire a character. (minimum Glory and/or Honor requirements)
- Another retirement option could be to become a monk (in a monastry) or a sensei (in a dojo). (minimum skills and/or rank requirement)
- Becoming a ronin, with a serious drop in Glory, and regaining its samurai status - could be an interesting storyline.
