The battle COULD use some Kitsu but Joji is more than right. Our ancestors wont let us. And you know why? Because there is an emerald champion army on our doorstep. And hey, sure we might be at a dissadvantage but I'm only level 85, I have been fighting since level 45 and I have all the basic jobs maxed out and still doing them. Sure it's hard at the beggining but then you can go a long, long time before ressuplying.

you know, I've said before that I'm okay with some railroading on the part of the great GM in the sky because ultimately, it's not really my story (this came at the time that the Unicorn proclaimed for Toturi without the vote that everyone else got). It seems hypocritical if I suddenly got upset now. Everyone is seeing this as the important battle that it is, so let's just go from there. Would we really be satisfied if it wasn't at least a little close?

I have, up to this point, completely refrained from joining the argument as to whether the battle is fair or not, and I will continue to do so, but there's something that's been nagging me. Isn't this the entire Dragon army coming down out of the mountains to join the war? Meanwhile, the bulk of the Lion forces were committed to Toshi Ranbo, leaving only the castle garrison up until now when reinforcements have arrived? I feel that this does need to be taken into account when discussing the forces both sides can bring to bear.

The Lions can, apparently, teleport their armies at will and ignore the Emerald Champion knocking on their doors at the other side. They just lost Crossroads Castle, a main source of supplies, but hey, of course that wouldn't affect them

The Dragon won the first round by more than 20k votes (never before have I seen such a crushing difference between voting pools) and we still failed to take the castle. And people still insist that the Lion is being treated unfairly. I simply cannot understand which other advantages they wanted here. I can blindfold myself while clicking on actions at CotSS, and maybe tie my hands behind my back, if that would make people feel better

Sorry, Honzo, didn't see your first post. At this point, Skirmishing with the Lion at Swift Sword is the only action that drops them, I believe, now that Crossroads is finished.

This was already discussed in original news thread 10/4/2011: Castle of the Swift Sword.
It started on page 4 and there were some epic sized post there as well that broke down the troop numbers of the various clans.

I understand the logical point that is being made. I did the same thing with the Spider attacking the Wall. But regardless of all the actions lets not forget that the Dragon had to work hard to get their advantage to begin with. They worked hard and devoted themselves for a long time to getting all those clicks. The huge deficit the Lion found themselves in was because they didn't think the Dragon would be so tenacious and fought 3 battles instead of concentrating on 1.

And lets also not forget they have the support of the Spider. I can't say for certain how many Spider are fighting there. But after the Spider were rejected for major clan status by both sides we agreed to fight only offensive battles and not defensive ones. I believe the fall of Toshi Ranbo vs the victory of Crossroads Castle reflects that.
