At any rate, please don't turn this thread into another "Baw baw, it's so unfair" thread. I'm talking to both sides of the battle. It's... tired. And, I imagine, that no one wants to hear it. +1 to what zeure. There are pages and pages on this subject in older threads.

... Isn't this the entire Dragon army coming down out of the mountains to join the war? The Kensai and the Togashi monks actions got added on the 2nd and 3rd wave of action on CotSS... So I guess there are sill dragons on the mountains. Meanwhile, the bulk of the Lion forces were committed to Toshi Ranbo, leaving only the castle garrison up until now when reinforcements have arrived? I feel that this does need to be taken into account when discussing the forces both sides can bring to bear. I have no idea how much was commited and where, but the battle started with an assault on a castle and a 3:1 advantage needed to capture the castle before Kaneka got his forces into the battle. A clear victor the Dragon failed to take the castle fast enought and are now facing a castle on the front and Unicorn+Kaneka on their "backs". Because it's an escalating situation the 20K initial votes are still valid and for story purposes CotSS+Kaneka and Unicorn allies are commited to an almost-lost battle. click click click winter courte and light blue samurais do their thing and: Crane princess + Peace between Crane and Lion click click click The Ikoma and whatever troops are where on Toshi Rambo + Crossroads castle start to arrive on the battlefield aka Ikoma Reeinforcements. The Dragon react and small bald men with sticks come downt he mountain. TLDR: 1) Dragon come down the mountain Lion are elsewhere. 2) CotSS + Kaneka + Unicorn stage a desperate defense of CotSS. 3) Crane + Winter Court trade the emporer's safety + a (dead) bride for Lion troops freedom. 4) Scorpion randomly move in a sneaky plan. Spider bash their head on a wall. Noone cares. 5) The Lion war machine is free to jump on CoTSS. 6) Dragon commit more troops. click click click Who knows...

Grrrr. Now you have appealed to my kolat side. Why do my kolat side and spider side always have opposite goals? If you play your opposing goals wisely, you'll always find yourself in a win-win situation

It was a very spirited bashing... If we do it often enough, then one day, it will be the wall that fails

You guys should start employing the legendary "Olympic torch" technique:

It was a very spirited bashing... I was there alongside the Spider and the Crab trying to make my philosofies accepted and followed... Zombies are good listeners but too set on their ways... decided to try more conventional wars inside the empire.

The Lions can, apparently, teleport their armies at will and ignore the Emerald Champion knocking on their doors at the other side. They just lost Crossroads Castle, a main source of supplies, but hey, of course that wouldn't affect them The Dragon won the first round by more than 20k votes (never before have I seen such a crushing difference between voting pools) and we still failed to take the castle. And people still insist that the Lion is being treated unfairly. I simply cannot understand which other advantages they wanted here. I can blindfold myself while clicking on actions at CotSS, and maybe tie my hands behind my back, if that would make people feel better How can you possibly still not understand why we're upset? When the Dragon were debating what to do after realizing the bind they'd put themselves in, the details of the "storm the castle" option were very clearly laid out. Win the first round by 3:1 and you would take the castle, granting you a huge advantage against Toturi when he got there. Fail to make that margin and you would be, and I quote, "in serious trouble," caught between hammer and anvil. It was a classic high-risk, high-reward gambit. Well, the Dragon gambit failed. I admit, you all did very well and your initial margins were very impressive. If this had been a straight-up fight on even footing I would have no qualms about declaring that a decisive Dragon victory. But it wasn't. The goal line was very clearly marked and the Dragon didn't make it. And yet? Serious trouble utterly failed to materialize. Not only that, but the vote tallies were retroactively modified to grant the Dragon a further 6000 net clicks, something that to my knowledge has never before happened in the history of the game. Removing the jobs from further clicking would have been completely understandable, given the advancing battle story. But waving a magic wand and having all of it erased from history? No. There are small differences in faction item requirements for jobs, yes, but I could live with it just fine if not for those two points. Ground rules were laid out for all to see and then discarded to the benefit of the Dragon. Votes were rendered null and void, again to the benefit of the Dragon. That's why many of us are upset and chafing at smaller perceived imbalances.

...Actually, the problem is in people's expectations. Every time Jay has talked about battles in terms of advantage/disadvantage it has referred to actions. The Toturi side clearly has the action advantage in both number and more importantly synergy. The losing clicks was unfortunate for you, but hardly something you can complain about happening since it was applied equally to both sides. You just had the misfortune of losing the action you chose to focus on.
...Do I think toturi ended up with a bad hand, sure. Do I think the amount of complaints people are laying down are justified? Not a chance.

Where's the best place to get bo sticks? I've used up all my 278 fate at the High House of Light and it only gave me 2 sticks. T_T

Unfortunately, that's the best place to get Bo Sticks. I've emeralded both jobs...
* The High House of Light - Train in the Martial Arts (Req; Athletics 2. Cost; n/a) [R] * Temple of Osano-Wo - Train in Martial Arts [-G] (Req; Athletics 20. Cost; n/a) [R]
... and that gave me a total of 15 Bo Sticks. They have a similarly horrible drop rate, but the one at the Temple of Osano-Wo is even worse because it eats up Glory. I think I'll settle for Jade in the Togashi mission, I can't imagine what a waste it will be trying to get 65 Bo Sticks with this drop rate.

Not a chance. A seven-to-six action advantage does not even remotely qualify as "serious trouble". And how can you possibly claim that the tally modification was "applied equally to both sides"? It's obvious on its face that it wasn't. The Lion lost twice the number of clicks that the Dragon did. What do you think would happen if the same were done right now to Fire Blossoms and, I dunno, Wall of Steel? Dragon would be howling at the moon. More to the point, the vote tallies didn't have to be modified at all!

I asked nicely for this to not be another baw baw fest. As a gentle reminder.
If the baw baw continues, I will have to begin my merciless taunting.

On a completely unrelated note, just found out about a new artist via a friend. She's so captivating that I'll go out of my way and post it here. Kill the lights and listen to:
