Even though I honestly don't believe that any good will come from this, I will indulge you and post.
Don't misquote me Tsanuri, it's not nice. I didn't post in this thread to convince anybody. Most people here are too stubborn anyway.
Jay posted the results, yes. But he left it open to interpretation. You have yours, I have mine. Just like every other player in the forums and in the game. Mine and a whole lot of others opinions just happen to be that we didn't intentionally kill women and children.
And yes we did it to win. Nobody really plays to lose.
Hate is such a strong word. It's easier to just not care.

This argument is going nowhere:
If it's part of some-sort-of-free-form-RP by all means insult away, here is a suggestion:
- Your daymio is so fat he/she/it melted instead instead of burning!
IF this is stricly between players... come on, really?
Ofc the losers, me included, are somewhat sad and frustrated we lost even but we knew this would happen, turning the tables on a 30K disadvantage was nearly impossible. We did half a miracle, we cut it in half.
The winners won, ofc they are happy they fought for the win. It was not handed to them, it was conquered.
As for interpretation... RL is full os conflicts where accusation are made, anything and everything is twisted and the "truth" is something not to be seen but to be produced and used. It's a cool thing to explore here on EE RP. Just remember RP is colaboration, not conflict.
Here is my RP suggestion: Let's all hold hands and unite in Taint. If we are all tainted we can conquer Jigoku and expand the empire!

Listen. Its time to move on. This going back and forth over and over is not going anywhere. a couple of things are obvious.
1.) CotSS got reduced to molten slag. 2.) The Dragon were the winners, The lion, sadly the losers. 3.) People on both sides aren't happy with how this has turned out. The Lion are unhappy that it has been reported that the castle and all its inhabitants were burnt up. The Dragon, aren't really happy that the super awesome Alchemical Fires action has seemingly..... blown up in their face. (sorry for the bad pun) 4.) The dragon don't care for what the Lion are saying about them, and the Lion feel like people are stomping on them after the defeat.
Now. I'm not going to tell people to stop talking, because really, this is a pretty civil discussion. THe problem, is that its just saying the same things over and over.
One thing that I see lost at times in the Civil War banter on the forums, is that these people that you are warring with are real people. Everything from taking jabbing at the opponent maybe one too many times, to taking things too personally, to saying things that, while true, are hard to understand the tone of on a forum.
Remember people, when this civil war is over, we have to find a way to unite as a community again, and get down to the business of killing the bad guys. This civil war wont last forever, and there are real people on the other side of the conflict.

What? Just when I was about to share my interpretation of the facts? Well, maybe it was very exclusive, but needless anyway. Sent from my XT300 using ProBoards

I can't remember... What happened to all the Scorpion clan castles after the failed coup? What ever happened to all the Scorpion clan women, children, and old men who never knew Shoju's plan?

The aftermath of the coup was pretty simple.
The Scorpion Clan was disbanded. His wife was taken as the new bride of the emperor to proof her sincerity that she wasn't a part of her husbands plot treachery.
The Crane Clan led an assault on the land of the Scorpion to rout and destroy the clan permanently. Most of their lands were left empty and "abandoned" after this, as a testament for all to see what had happened to them.
Becareful what you wish for Machu, there is no clan that would be immune from an action such as this. If you punish the clans who vocally backed Toturi, and not those who crossed clan lines to do so, the civil war wouldn't end.

I truely thought the castles were razed and burned. Crumbled blackened ruins like what happened to the Snake clan.
Also in character with what we know out of character there have probably been many atroscities that were covered up by imperial histories. The Steel crysanthamum. The great famine. The wars created by the dark bride of fu leng.

No, they were left to rot. I believe that very few were actually destroyed canonically, which does leave some question as to what the "ruined fortress of teh scorpion" was meant to portray, as there is also never much talked about in the rebuilding of their lands either.
